Hello Everybody.. My husband applied for my case in July, file received by Delhi embassy in October.. It's been 4 months now.. Can anybody tell me how much more time it will take.. As its really hard for me to live alone here..really missing my husband

We are compiling papers to sponsor my wife from India and request clarification regarding photographs. India specific check-list says:

PHOTOS
Supply six (6) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself.

Does it mean that we should include 6 photos of:

1 - Applicant alone or
2 - Applicant and Sponsor or
3 - Applicant, her parents and her brother

Best wishes to every one...

The guide also says that family members are spouses and dependent children. If you do not have children, then only the applicant needs to include those photos.

Hi Leon,
I and my spouse have applied for PR under CEC as you had advised. We have sent our application on december 19th which they received on 22nd as per fedex. I would need your valuable advice on further process.
How long would it generally take to get the file number?
What is Uci and what is Aor?
When i apply for Owp will it affect my pr processing?
How long will it take for me to get owp?
What are my chances of getting owp after getting denied previously for study permit under misrepresentation?
Is there any other way to hasten the processing time.
since express entry is now in picture will cic process prev applications submitted before jan 1st sooner than their regular timing?

Please help me get these doubts cleared.
Thank u for ur precious time in advance.

If your CEC application was received in December then unfortunately it's going to be returned unprocessed. The cap for CEC application was reached on or around October 20th. All applications received after this date are in the proces of being returned. You should start looking into Express Entry now and apply through that program instead.

Under spousal sponsorship - does anyone know a financial amount they are looking for in the bank account for my common-law to sponsor me? Is there a magical figure!! We both already live here in Canada, and are curious as to how much they are looking for.
Thanks.

There is no financial minimum you need to make. You just need prove that yourself and family will be supported without using social assistance.

For example, myself, at the time of submitting the application to sponsor my husband, I had very little in my bank account, as Id just worked three years in a developing country making a local wage, had just moved back to Canada and was unemployed. To prove my husband would be supported I showed schools boards Id applied to (I'm a teacher), I showed my degrees to prove I had the earning potential, and I had a letter from my parents saying that we could live with them so we could save money and get on our feet. I was approved to sponsor with no problem.

Thanks, we are also both teachers, and have some cash, but was unsure if we needed to get a 'parental injection' or whether our current funds and future earnings is sufficient for us both to live as we do.
Thanks for your reply - appreciated!

The same here,I miss my hubby too much, we can do nothing except waiting patiently,uh((,,we applied in April, then file was transferred to Moscow then Warsaw for further processing,it will turn 8 months soon we r waiting and haven't heard anything so far..
U can check the processing time for ur visa office on CIC website
And there isn't an exact time for waiting, every case is different, and is done in different times

Re: Spousal sponsorship / extend visit record with new stamp??

Hi All

not sure if this is in the right place but need some advice please??

My husband is Canadian and have been staying as a visitor since Mar 14. After a trip back to England for I was given a Visitors Record when I returned in Sept, for 6 months whilst I sent my Sponsorship app.

An Outland Application was sent a few days before I went on a family holiday in Jan 15. When we returned it was 2:30am and the CBSA guy asked a few questions, I showed him my receipt etc. He then told me I couldn't work past the date on the VR, I said I can't work anyway on it and he was like, "oh yeah, thought it was a work permit" :-[ anyway, he just stamped the folded up VR in my passport.

So I'm now confused as to whether I need to renew the VR as it expires in March or am I good for another 6 months with the stamp?? And if I am good with the stamp can I then apply to stay longer as I highly doubt my PR will be done?

i was far too tired to think about this when I was talking to the CBSA man, and now I am worried about breaking the rules without realizing.

Thanks in advance ;D ;D

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's legal to take online distance course while waiting for PR inland?
Thanks..
