You applied inland, so Step 1 for inland involves checking both the applicant and sponsor. That's part of the reason why it takes longer.gauri.gupta08 said:Hi All,
I submitted my application for spousal sponsorship in Canada in Sept 2014. I am the sponsor and my husband is the applicant. I have heard back from CIC today and they have asked me to send them proof of my residence (in the form of lease agreement, employment letter etc) by 24th Feb. They have also written to my husband today, saying that in order to continue processing his application, they need more details on our relationship and how it developed. Again by 24th Feb.
My question is, does this mean, they have already reviewed my application as a sponsor and my husbands' application as the applicant? The reason I ask is, my understanding was that first my profile will get evaluated as a sponsor (Stage 1- 14 months) and once that is done, my husbands' profile will get evaluated (Stage 2).
Hope somebody has an answer to this
Thank you very much!
Looking back, you did not meet the RO. Have you resolved that issue? If not, you could be putting yourself in a difficult position.
