My canadian spouse filed the application on Nov 24th and CIC received it on Nov 25th according notification fro Canada Post. So, we wonder how long it takes to have any info in the CHECK YOUR APP STATUS link? How can we get into that link if we do not ave any UCI number or IMM5401 receipt number as we payed online? We just want to track our application....or is it too early for that???
Regards y GOOD LUCK for EVERYBODY going through this process.

Also, ECAS Will not show anything until you are close to sponsorship approval.
No, but they are really slow sorting incoming documents. Just send the docs again, but this time don't wait a long time if possible.bhkr0008 said:heyy all

Hey thanks for giving me this much detail, we are married a month before but we know each other since 2011 through a family member but our only means of communication was on the phone calls, skype, facebook, whatsapp etc. and his passport exit entry once he visited me, so i think it makes sense??IvanP said:Then they're going to be more interested in how and when you met, when you decided to get married, how much time you spent together, whether you ...
The sponsor is supposed to submit a letter from their employer if they are currently employed. I'm not sure what a certificate of employment is, but a letter is fine.hyperion said:good day to everyone i'm new here in thread, maybe this question was already discussed my apology...
i just want to ask if the person to be sponsor needs to submit also an employment certificate or it is okay without it as long as it was stated on the application form?
all our documents are complete and can't submit our papers because we are waiting for my wife's employment certificate from her current employer in Philippines.
anyone here can help me about this? we don't want to take a risk to submit the papers without the coe to avoid return of application.
regarding the proof of marriage, does it matter if the document to be sent together with the application form is the certificate of marriage of contract or the certificate of advisory on marriage? those two forms are in different format but same information.
thank you. GOD Bless everyone...

unless there is something specific in the Phillipine guide that suggests this is required, it is not required for the applicant to submit proof of employment. all that's needed is to write the information in the appropriate form that asks about current employment. the only forms or supporting documents that are required as the ones that are specifically written on the checklists. if it's not specifically asked for, then it is not required.hyperion said:Thank you tink23.
I already have a letter from my employer but how about on my spouse?
Does she needs to submit certificate of employment too as a proof that she is working in Philippines?
Thank you so much i really appreciate your immediate response on my inquiry. this is really a great news for us.rhcohen2014 said:unless there is something specific in the Phillipine guide that suggests this is required, it is not required for the applicant to submit proof of employment. all that's needed is to write the information in the appropriate form that asks about current employment. the only forms or supporting documents that are required as the ones that are specifically written on the checklists. if it's not specifically asked for, then it is not required.
