thank you for the confirmation about marrying a cousin in canada.
Do you have any idea if you a spouse can sponsor their cousin (who is their spouse)

As far as i know it is not illegal because many middle eastern couples and couples from India marry their cousins and are able to bring them here if they are married.

There is no legal or moral reason to prevent you from doing either. Just get married and get your application in... You are probably over-thinking this...

I have got AOR and medical for PR applied under ainp and medicals done 10th june 2014 ,my wife and my kid also done medicals in India. I just want to apply spouse open work permit and visitor visa for my son through online.

1.Processing time if we apply online?
2.Fund to show by spouse?

will my wife get open work permit since i got PR file number and medicals attached

Pls guide.

Maybe get married in the usa if you are eager to be married before you send the application , so you have a cert, but also explain you want to have a ceremony in India, showing wedding plans, venues, letters from family/friends. just give as much proof as you can that your relationship is genuine.

a que regarding my child's ccanadian citizenship certificate...my child has a US passport and she is eligible to be Canadian citizen too.... we r in india and applied for my PR...if we go to Canada after my PR woukd she be allowed to enter Canada on US passport or would it be a prob...we cant apply for citizenship from india coz its a long process.... what r the ways...thanks

us citizen does not require visa to enter canada so she has no problem entering

I would advise carrying documentation to prove to CBSA that the child is a Canadian citizen. This would be a birth certificate listing her Canadian parent, and then the evidence that her Canadian parent is either a naturalized citizen or was born in Canada.

Even though the child is a US citizen, without sufficient evidence the child is a Canadian citizen, a CBSA officer might conclude the child wasn't intending to leave Canada and decide she is inadmissible otherwise. But if you can reasonably prove the child is a Canadian citizen, a CBSA officer cannot refuse her entry (this is a right guaranteed under the Charter to Canadian citizens.)

Odds are there won't be an issue, but it never hurts to be prepared. And a CBSA officer will be VERY cautious not to refuse a citizen.

In the Tracking number that they gave me for my papers it says there received April 3, 2014 in Mississauga. In May 4, 2014, I checked and they're already processing April 6. Now, Checked on their website and it says there that they're already processing papers received april 16, 2014 but I haven't received any confirmation letter from them stating that they received my application and processing it. What should I do now? I'm worried about my application.

I was wondering something similar, I just sent my application today (finally), will immigration contact us when they receive the application?
