Hello guys, What is the average time for receiving the citizenship certificate after completing the oath. During ceremony, I was told 4-6 weeks. I was wondering if we, on this forum, are keeping track of that time as well? Thanks

I tried to check if I was registered for vote at Elections Canada website and it said they didn't find me in the system. I was curious can I still go to vote as I don't have any proof of citizenship?

Hello Everyone, I just completed my Oath ceremony. Although my processing office is in Calgary, the oath was hosted from Winnipeg, MB. I will update again once I receive the certificate. Thanks everyone for the support and good luck.

Tests are not based upon the province you live in. It is going to be a general test which you can prepare for from the Discover Canada book. I would also highly suggest doing practice tests before you take the exam.

Hi, My tracker updated and I am supposed to take oath on Sep 1. But haven't received any email invite. I have seen people getting the invite at the last day before tge oath. Just curious if I don't get the email, what would be the best way to contact IRCC. Webform? call? Or is there an email...

Calgary office is the slowest in my opinion. I would understand when there was a delay in background check and test invites. But since everything else is done, all they need to do is just get as many people as possible to take oath and shrink the backlog. But they have their own ways, I guess.

Update: Everything on my tracker has been updated to complete except for Oath ceremony. Oath activity hasn't started yet. ECAS status has also been updated to decision made.

My background was completed in January 20th, 2021 and I received test invite on April 26th. I think they are taking anywhere between a month to three months after the background check to invite for the test.

How did you get hold of agent when you called? There is no option to talk to agent. Could you please share?

No, you could use both options. When you click on email results, only then you get the result via email. The file that was saved in you computer when you clicked print is the same what you would have gotten in email. Check your downloads section and you should be able to find the result.
