The strike is still in effect. In September when the Canadian Parliament resumes you may see the Government legislate the FSW's back to work.

Hi CanadianJeepGuy: Thank you much. Do you think they walked out of the offices? No work at all ?? If so, when in September, are you expecting them to come back to work ?? man, this is like "nails on the coffin" !! What else is left to punish the sponsor and the applicant ?? Could you tell me ?? Killing me all day and night.

They are "work to rule" so they are still working.

Hello All,

I just landed to Canada in april 2013 , then I wne t back to india in May 2013 and got married.

Now I want to sponser my wife but I can not get option C printout, CIC is asking for option C print out or explanation for not having it!

Would anyone please help me with this?

Appreciate any help!

to whom it may concern

The CIC updated the quarterly (step 2) Processing time

step 2 mean , processing for your file at the visa office after receiving the SA

you can find the new processing time for your office in this link

Hi,

For those who are proficient in reading GCMS notes, I just received my spouse's and have a few questions, I'd appreciate any help.

This is what I see under Security

Security: 1
Date created: 2012/1/17 (does this mean they sent out for security check on this date?)

Sub activity: 1
Type:

Sub activity: 2
Type: security screening

Criminality: 1
Status: passed

I'm not sure at what else I should look at to understand whats going on with our file? The second medicals will expire in 2 months and we have exceeded normal processing times. Embassy replies to my emails only telling us to wait for security results... any insights?

Thanks for any replies.

My understanding is that the union members who are not deemed essential are on strike. That's who you see picketing the embassies. The staff that are essential are working on applications that have been in the system for a while.

I suppose you can atleast get T4 and verification of employment, offer letter, bank statements (whatever has been mentioned in the checklist IF the sponsor is not giving the option C print out.

Give in as much as you can and attach a letter saying that since you landed only in april you hvent worked a complete year yet...blah blah blah blah...

We also dint give the option c though we had ordered it, but attached enough of the other docs along with a letter...and we got our sponsorship approval without any problem.

Hope this helps! All the Best!

Yes, I don't see any reason why not. I just realised that while you are posting the in "Family Class Sponsorship" section, your timeline is showing as a "FSW1", so my reply is based on that.

However, IF this IS actually a FC application, the answers are;

If you are the applicant and it's an "outland" application, yes.
If you are the sponsor and a Canadian citizen, yes.
Otherwise, no.

Option C printout is your tax records. Since you haven't filed for taxes yet, just write that you can not get it because you haven't filed yet. You could however include copies of your pay slips to show that you are working.

You can, but so early in application handling would probably be a waste of time and money.
I doubt that at this stage, it would give you anything more than e-CAS.
