this process of spouse visa will take how long time?

You missed a really crappy winter.

You do not need a job though you will have to provide some evidence as to how you will support him without the need of social services. Your processing time could be as long as a year.

No. That would be working illegally.

Actually, as long as the work permit application is filed BEFORE the old one expires, "implied status" still works - even if you know the new application will be rejected. But once they refuse the work permit application (e.g., the LMO isn't done) then the foreign worker must stop working.

Hi all...i have a guestion ..if my husband gets the visa to come to me too Canada how long does he have to leave egypt or is it forever good and he can wait 1 year to leave egypt..cause he needs to finish university first.

His PR visa will have limited duration. Generally it will be the lesser of the expiration of his medical examination (one year after it was done, or two years if it was extended normally) OR the expiration of his passport. He must present himself at a Canadian Port of Entry by the time the Confirmation of Permanent Residency (COPR) document and counterfoil visa expire. He does not need to remain in Canada - he could become a permanent resident and then fly to some other location. As long as he fulfills the residency obligation (730 days in the first five years, counting time spent outside Canada with his Canadian spouse/partner) then he remains permanent resident and may move to Canada when he is ready.

Thank you computergeek i will tell my husband tonight..

I think the most obvious proof would be a bank statement showing your savings that will pay your rent and living expenses for at least 3 months. Are you planning to work at all? Where are you going to live?

URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!

hey guys, I just received my passport request for my own PR last week. My fiancée is here in Canada on a student visa. We are planning to get married soon. Is it better to marry now and inform CIC about my change in marital status OR get my own PR and apply for her later? Please help me in this regard. Cheers

If you get married before you land, you'll have to add her to your application. It means pausing to get her police checks, forms filled out, etc. If you get married and land without declaring her, you can never sponsor her.

You can sponsor her after you land Inland Spousal PR, where she can stay in Canada, get a work permit after Stage 1 approval, and continue to study. Or you can sponsor her Outland to her home country visa office if they are faster (or she needs to leave Canada because she wants to travel or visit her home country).

It's really up to you, just make sure you do not land on a "single" visa as a married man!

A little difficult to understand but if you are married then there is no requirement to prove how long you have lived together. That applies to common-law/conjugal relationships as they have no marriage certificate to add validity to the relationship.

As for extending his visa I will leave that to others that have more knowledge as to how that works. What kind of visa does he currently hold?

He had study permit n now he is going to apply work permit.
Ohh
actually there is a form which shows when we lived together
