You know there's an app called 'ImmiTrack' that can keep nice timeline of these records :)

Hi Folks,

I got my PR in 2022 via TR2PR. I was greatly helped by following the fora on canadavisa.com. I am currently working in QC. My wife is from Nigeria (my country of origin).

Is it possible to apply for spousal sponsorship via Québec, then if it is too slow, I move and change my address to the new province? Would this change of address move the application from a Quebec spousal sponsorship to a non Quebec spousal sponsorship?

Sponsor Canadian Citizen

Applied for wife in October 31- 2023
Application returned November 24-2023 (messed up on outland/inland) had to re-submit
Application submitted again November 24-2023

Still no update or AOR. Any idea on the current timeline?

For someone who has been in my situation, could they tell me if it is likely or not my sponsorship will be approved?
- I am a born and raised Canadian Citizen, I live in Canada.
- My wife is Filipina living in the Philippines.
- She has never travelled to Canada before, but has to the US and India
- We never lived together, we've only been together on my vacations to the Philippines.
- We are legally married in the Philippines.
- We've been married since Nov 2023, so a little more than 2 months now.
- I am otherwise eligible to sponsor my wife under family class

Being that we haven't been married long and have never cohabited with eachother outside of hotels during my vacations, what are our chances of being approved?

Our sponsorship documents are almost ready, and will be submitting once we have her police clearance tuesday.

Same situation as mine. 4 years long distance relationship just got married last June 2023 in the Philippines. As long as you have proof, you will get approve.

Do you know this?
We've only been in a long distance relationship for a year by the time we were married.

That should be fine. As long as you submit sufficient proof documents. Give me your email and I can send you a list that might help.

Don't stress. Nothing unusual with your relationship. I only knew my wife 6 months, and we had only spent about 4 weeks together before we go married.
