I am in the same with you. But why does it take long. You breaking families apart. It's not good for children mostly

There are a number of steps to the process including reviewing the medical results, background and security checks, and also the eligibiligy itself. It also depend on processing volumes and the number of applications IRCC has received and is processing.

But I have not yet done medical tests

Eligibility, background, and security check should be next.

Posted processing time for Quebec applicants is two years right now. This is due to the caps the Quebec government has put in place. So in short, expect that it may take two years to process your application from the time it was submitted (and be happy if it takes less than that). Good luck. The situation is pretty bad for Quebec applicants right now.
