IvanP said:I would strongly disagree that Baby1990's case is urgent. CIC does have other, more important things to attend to. Both Baby1990 and her husband are residing in Canada, and both have immigration status that allows them to remain there for the moment. They can see each other, live together, and are not under threat of imminent removal or loss of immigration status. There are plenty of people who are living apart from each other whose applications are much more pressing, and scarce processing resources shouldn't be spent on non-urgent cases (and, with all due respect, nothing could be more non-urgent than a status update on a case that has been voluntarily withdrawn). Contacting the MP is inappropriate for the same reason. Contacting your MP makes sense when CIC is delaying unreasonably, but in Baby1990's case, CIC hasn't done anything unreasonable - she's the one who has created her stressful situation. Ordering the GCMS notes is the right approach to get a full and detailed explanation of the status of the application. It will take about 30 days and is free because you're in Canada, and ordering notes will not slow anyone else's processing.
OH !!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree with you IvanP. If this is the case then there is absolutely nothing anybody can do she have to wait for GCMS notes and if they cancel her application then wait to re apply it.
