Hello Guys,

I am a canadian citizen and got married in India in dec 2012 and i applied for my husbands spousal sponsership in March 25,2013 (as per cic). Our application has been approved and was transfered to New delhi on April 18,2013 and we also got a passport request on the same day. How long does it take for the visa's to be sent over to my husband in india? He is currently in India. And I am back to Canada.

Is there a time period when he should be receiving his visa's from new delhi?
Thanks,
Bella

The CIC website says 10 months but if you find the New Delhi thread others may be able to let you know if the actual processing time is longer or shorter.

NDVO asks for the passport very early, so it's not going to be anytime soon. CIC website says 10 months. But take a look in a ND thread (or spreadsheet, they are all in the link in my signature) and see what some of them are at :)

hello. I'm on the stage of gathering all the documents needed. For the proof of relationship documents like fb, ym, skype, whatsapp is it necessary to translate it into english? cuz we're filipino and using our native language (TAGALOG) and is it okay just to copy paste it in ms word then print it? are they (V.O) really reading all those messages. It takes a lot of effort and time in gathering all the documents. whewwww :o :o :o :o

Better to ask this in the Tagalog thread. I personally didn't send any chat logs but told them they are available if they want them.

I'm Canadian. My wife is Filipina. She was just issued her visa on Tuesday and will land on the 15th of June. Our whole process took 13 months.

That's not really a decision anyone can make for you. There is no easy way to immigrate. It will all take time...too much time. My own personal advice is to not move to Libya if you have no family there of your own.

I have been filling out Form IMM 5727 (Application for Temporary Visit Visa) on behalf of my spouse who would like to visit me while her Application is in process.

On page 2 of the Form, DETAILS OF VISIT TO CANADA, Question 1 a) purpose of visit: The answer should be 'Tourism' from the drop down menu, right?

You just said it the same way my husband does, it's wrong but it sounds so cute! The right for you to say would be "Obrigado" but if you were a girl you could say "Obrigada". I know, my language is weird. ;D
