Couple of probably silly questions.

1) On IMM1344 - It asks for my UCI/Client ID from when I moved to Canada. I came as a dependent child of a FSW, and the only paper work my mom still has from this is our Record of Landing (IMM1000). I can't see the Client ID anywhere on that paper. What can I do? Can I call somewhere to find it? Would a photocopy of the RoL suffice?

You can leave it blank :) They will match it up

2) On IMM5540 - My employment history, how do I mark down my current position. Do I: A) Leave the "to" section blank B) enter the same date as the date the form is signed C) the end date of my current contract (at the end of this school term)

Leave it blank, then when you print it out, write in PRESENT

3) Lastly, the letter my employer provided me has my pay rate, my position, states that although I work contracts I've been with them for over 2 years. They did not include the amount of hours I work per week. Since I'm only sponsoring my husband, I don't need to fullfil a minimum income, is this little detail going to matter?

That little detail doesn't really matter. They just want to make sure you will be able to (and willing to) support you and your husband.

I know I'm being very nitpicky, but I really don't want anything to go wrong over some stupid detail we overlooked. We're sending the app on October 9th, the day after I return from visiting my husband during Thanksgiving weekend. I really can't wait ;D

So now my husband has a question. :p

IMM5669E - Question 12 (List all addresses where you've lived).

He just finished his undergrad. He was in a Co-op program where he did 3 months at school in Michigan, then 3 months in California for his Co-op and repeat. He did this for just about 4 years. Does he need to list every single one of these switches? His official mailing address throughout this time was his parent's house in California. How could he handle this best?

Since he was only there for three months at a time, he can use his parent's address for that (since his mail was going there)

If you want to go and spend some time with your wife now instead of appealing, you can do that. You can just apply again after you have spent some months together. Maybe the added evidence will be enough to convince immigration then.
Hi Leon,

What will be the best way to prove that I will be going back to Canada.

I do sub contract work with Canadian firms. I am self employed since last 3 years. I can get written agreement from the firms I work with for upto 2014.

Also, will I able to file my application from India as a sponsor or I will have to come here once. Since we will be staying together at our new permanent address. I am Canadian citizen here.

Thanks for your previous suggestions Leon. You the best.

This is normal. Islamabad has a long processing time.

In a successful, easy application, you only hear from CIC three times:

- When the sponsor is approved;
- When they want the passport for TRV and COPR issuance
- When you get your passport back.

Some visa offices do send an AOR, but many do not. Generally, when you DO hear anything else from the visa office, it means there's some extra effort required to complete your file.

Generally, when e-cas changes to "In Process" it means that a visa officer has actually started reviewing your file.

I know the waiting is stressful, but it's the way things work.

Good luck!

hi guys!

I received my Passport Request just today,
the following are the requested documents:
> fully completed Appendix A
> Personal history
> complete history of residential address from Jan 2012 up to present
>original Passport

i have many questions and if someone could help me out, I would be thankful.

> for the Appendix A, if we don't have any child, shall we put N/A? or just leave it blank?
> for the Personal History, correct me if I'm wrong but I think this includes all activities I have been doing from the time I turned 18 up to today, right?
> the space provided for the personal history isn't enough for me to fill in all the details about me, should I have the form photocopied then make a note that it is a continuation? or should I write my personal history in another sheet of paper?

thanks

Hi there,
A person applied for PR in the year 2010 and receives his request for medicals and PCC in June 2012 and complies to it and submits passports to Visa office in the month of july 2012….in this duration from 2012 he gets married in 2011 and have a baby in 2012..but fails to inform visa office about his change in social status due to some family and personal issues, so what is the probability for that man to get his visa, and can he sponsor his wife and kid in the near future, and what are the remedial measures that he needs to take at this stage. Please reply its urgent.

This man must urgently inform the visa office to stop processing his visa and not issue it at this point because he has realized that as his family composition has changed since he applied, he must amend his application to add his wife and child. He should go through his application forms, re-do all forms that would change because of the wife and child and add any forms that his wife would have to fill out. Then send them all to the visa office along with their fees. It will delay his visa but they will all get their visas together instead.

It is NOT an option for him to wait until he gets the visa, land and then sponsor them. The reason is that because he applied as a single person, as soon as he was married and had a child, the visa issued for him as a single person is no longer valid. If he lands on this visa, he would be committing misrepresentation on landing, basically as good as denying his wife and child. He would be barred from ever sponsoring them if he does that and could even lose his own PR.

Re: when to order GCMS to see officers notes on file

computergeek said:
Probably a week after the interview. By that time the notes following the interview should be entered and any decision made reflected within the notes.

Keep in mind that the notes you do receive will be 30 days old by the time you get them.
Hoping there won't be an interview.

Thanks though and best of luck on your 'battle' with CIC.

Hi Rhenanjay

Appendix A - if you dont have child to be on the safe side just put n/a
Personal history - yes you need to give details of your personal history since the age of 18 or the past 10 years whichever comes first. This means that if you are 26 years of age you need to start from when you are 18 years old right up to 26 but if you are 30 years old, you need to start from 20 years old right up to your 30 years of age and that is your 10 years.
Space for personal history - i suggest that you dont photocopy the page. Start with a blank sheet of paper and type on top that this is the continuation to your personal history.

When I did my application for my husband, I used a blank page when the space was not enough and just made them aware that this page was a continuation to form IMM#### question #. Make sure you clip the continuation sheet as part of the whole form.

Good luck sa iyo.

When I applied for FSW I did mention my internship and even attached the internship certificate. Anyways, I think this relates only to full-time jobs. But when they ask what you did at specific point of time after you were 18, you have to mention these places. So, you better mention all these places.
