Hey all
I applied for my husband through family sponsorship on 2 feb . They returned my application on 27 april . Reason was Miss document and the put a tag on checklist what was missing.
my question is do i need to check the full application again to make sure or just attach the document and send it again with updated signs and forms.
what i need to write in explanation letter about missing document when i am providing them that information.
Second question is do i need to submit new police clearance and photographs even it’s being only 3 months.

Hi everyone. My husband and I are applying for an outland sponsorship - last document is supposed to come next week, and then he's going to mail in the paperwork. I am wrapping things up back home at the moment, and the plan was for me to come and join him in September and wait for the paperwork there. I have a valid visitors visa with a long validity. Couple of questions that I would appreciate people's opinions on:
1) If I happen to find a job between now and September (or between now and whenever I get my PR), would a Canadian employer be able to hire me while we are in process of an outland spousal sponsorship application? Is there an option of applying for a work permit for a person with my status (provided the employer would be willing to go for it)? I am aware you cannot work while on a visitors visa, but considering we don't even know how long it will take for IRCC to process our paperwork, what I am trying to understand is if it's worth applying for jobs and going to interviews in the meantime or is it not an option at all and I am supposed to just sit tight however long it takes?
2) At the same time, if I worked for a company in another jurisdiction with no offices in Canada, remotely - my understanding is that it would be legal?
3) Visitors visa rules say that the maximum stay is 6 months. Is it per year? Or can you, say, go to the states for a day, re-enter Canada and then's when your new 6 months would re-start?
4) Leaving and re-entering - I understand that while I hold a visitors visa I am free to come and go (within those 6 months). Does the fact that I have an ongoing immigration application impact that at all?
Thank you.
1) You cannot work for a Canadian employer until you received your PR. (when you applicant is complete and you got your PR status/landing)
2) If your current status allows that (i.e. between your country and that company's country)
3) It's 6 months from your entry. You can extend your visitor status once you are close to the end of your 6 months stay. You can re-enter but with the COVID condition, I won't suggest travelling.
4) It doesn't have any major effect. But you have to show that you are a true visitor at entry.

Does the gcms consent form has to be hand written by both the sponsor and applicant ? Can I (sponsor) type my information on the computer and send it to my husband and he can sign it ? And send it back

Hello Everyone,

I will be sponsoring my fiance after we get married this November. She has an express entry profile and another profile that she created when she applied for a study permit (it was rejected) and because of this she has 2 UCI numbers. When we apply for the PR which UCI should I use? The one for her EE profile or the one for her study permit profile?

Hi all, quick question,. My husband applied for PR in 2019 and got a rejection based on NOC in November 2020 . On the other hand I got my PR October 2020 a month before his rejection but we got married January 2021 .

My question is, will there be red flags that we got married because he was rejected his PR? I mean we have proof that we have been dating for more than a year before we got married and all. I just want to be better acquitted before we submit the sponsorship application.

Hi everyone. Yesterday in Gskey, the application status changed from submitted to application updated. There are no changes inside or new messages. This morning the status changed to submitted again. Nothing has changed in CAPS. As it was In process from the very beginning. What does it mean?

It is what some people call a ghost update. The thinking is that somebody at IRCC was looking or working on the file.

Hello All

I just have a quick question about processing times.

I am Canadian and my spouse is chinese, we are both living and working in Beijing.

Our completed family sponsorship package was delivered October 23, 2020. Since then we haven’t heard a thing.

My question is this, is this time frame in line with processing times during the pandemic? Should I try to contact someone or just wait?

It has been 6 months with no word but others seem to be having quicker response times.

Thanks in advance for any of your thoughts.

Hello. Can anybody clarify I can send spousal application with a copy of the police certificate. Original is in transit and the shipment is held for no obvious reason at one of the port (international). I am not sure to wait as one of the police certificates was issued on 27 Jan (3 month validity period?).
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks
