Dear All,
Help me please with advice.
I'm going to immigrate through EE. I live with my partner outside Canada; we are not married and do not have children.
CRS calculator shows that if I apply as a single person, I will get enough score to be above a cut off score. If I apply with my common-law partner, we will not get sufficient points to immigrate.

Could you please suggest a better way of immigrating separately? I think about getting PR for myself and then getting married to my partner and afterward submit an application for a spousal sponsorship.

Should I indicate her in my EE profile as a common-law partner who will not come with me, or it is better not to mention her at all until I land in Canada and get PR?

Easy.

If you are common law, declare as unaccompanied. If you do not mention her and she is common law, misrepresentation and you may never be able to sponsor her.

Thanks. That is reasonable.
But if I declare her as an unaccompanied common-law partner in my application, will I be able to sponsor her when she becomes my wife?

I've got another question. In case of declaration her as an unaccompanied common-law partner, should I explain why she does not go with me? She has an elderly mother here, so could it be considered as a significant reason to stay?

They haven't looked at any new apps since mid February so it will be a while before you hear from them. Did you send your via courier, do you know if it was received in Sydney? It it has been received you have to trust they will send it to the right department.

Very important stuff sd have been sent by couriers. All is backed up. i guess time will tell. Lot are in the same boat. Several posts have dealt with linking stuff. please tey do search.

Hello everyone,

My husband is Canadian and we recently applied for an inland spousal sponsorship. I have been in Canada in the last 3 years now under study permit which is still valid until end of 2021.
We both got job offers in my home country and we are debating should we drop the application (sent in March however it is not in the system yet) and change it to outland application.
I know we can send a webform to drop the application. I was wondering whats the process for outland application? is it the same checklist? whats the order that we should put the form and documents in the package? Is it safe to change? are there any risks by switching or receiving the PR eventually? if you have any information about the process or anything that can help, it would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone,My wife is canadian permanent resident and she sponsored me .I got my visa in October,2019 and I booked my ticket to Canada on 1st April,2020 which was canceled due to COVID-19.My concern is that my visa was expired on 28th may,2020.I applied webform but I didn’t get the extension of visa.Is there any another case similar to me?pls reply

Logic tells me you are not at fault U may not get timely reply due to Covid. U may also want to ask your wife to call immediately Canada if no-one answers here. Question is if you are able to board a flight with the expired landed papers.? If you could board then at border here they must have many such casesand likely allow you entry else you may be waiting a long time to obtain answers i suspect. Hopefully u get replies here or call IRCC

Hi everyone! Maybe it is explained in the previous pages sorry if it is, but can someone explain me this. My girlfriend has some family friends that are willing to sponsor me and my girlfriend. The question is is it possible with that sponsorship to be able to live and work in Canada? And what's the procedure? Is it expensive? Thanks guys.
