U need to create an online account using gckey. Next step in background check which in most of the cases do not reflect here. Atlst in my case in never did. And when i login using gckey it says bg in process.. but looking at ur status it seems that its now just a game of two to three months max!!! If u are lucky enough then not even a month ! Good luck

Then just check the status on that. If it says bg in process then not more than two months max! Mine is also stuck at the same stage under spousal category! Pcc was submitted along with the application itself! Still they they take this much time i guess

Hi. A newbie here. Want to share my timeline and hoping to get significant infos here too..

App sent VO Mississuaga: 11 June 2018
App received: 12 June 2018
Ecas PA In-Process: 12 June 2018
Ecas Sponsor DM received: 18 July 2018
AOR email (sponsor): 19 July 2018
App link to CIC: 24 July 2018

Wondering why a lot of cases were requested to pass SCHEDULE A and PCC...in the latest Spousal Sponsorship kit, all said documents were on the checklist, meaning I already submitted them upon application.. hope to get insights about this matter.

Prior to a few months ago, Schedule A and PCC were submitted only when they were requested by CIC. They recently changed that back to upfront submission.

Are you married? If so why did you apply under common law? To qualify for common law you must have cohabited for 365 days in a marriage like relationship with no significant breaks. If you do not meet this requirement and applied under CL, that could be the reason for rejection. Can you elaborate?

I appointed representative and so i thought that login through gckey will interfere in his work regarding my case. Is it true or he will still get all the updates from cic regarding my case after that too ? I'm bit confused.
