No one on this forum can tell you what is happening with the app or how much longer long it will take. Order your GCMS notes or contact your MP.Siempreamor said:Hi! I'm Canadian and my husband is American. Our application is Outland. We're now into month 17th and our application is still in progress. We're in the process of obtaining my husband's son medical exam. We're hoping that once this is submitted our application is finalized. How much longer will it take? Please help us. Thank you.
If you apply inland, you can apply for an open work permit at the same time. Having applied puts you under implied status. That means you have applied before your status expired and are therefore protected and should not leave. Usually the open work permit these days takes about 4 months to get.chacha91 said:I have a question. My husband is a PR in Canada, so we're trying to figure out either inland or outland is better for us to apply. I have a valid tourist visa to Canada now, and if I go there 3 months before it expires and apply for inland then, would I be able to stay more after? Would they extend my visa? Sorry I don't know anything about the process, I would be really happy if you reply. Thanks in advance.
As an Australian, you should really really be applying outland. Sydney is a very fast office, and you could have your PR before the OWP would have arrived inland.BubbyJergens said:G'day, I'm an Australian who arrived to Montreal on a working holiday permit, which will expire this September (2016).
My wife is a Canadian citizen and we are currently collecting information for the Inland Sponsorship program here in Quebec.
We are a bit unclear on the proper steps to start our application. Do we apply for the CSQ here in Quebec first and then CIC? Or the other way around? And at what step we apply for the open work permit.
It's been difficult to find the correct order for our application.
Thanks for your help!
