Hi guy! My husband has PR, he can sponsor me, if he doesn't have job?

yes, your husband can sponsor you without having a job. he will need to prove in his application he is able to provide for you for 3 years, is not on welfare and will not apply for welfare when you land. people do this by showing money saved, letters of support from family, etc. many sponsors are approved without having a job.

When my wife landed in BC from Washington State, we put her car on the goods to follow form. My question is, do I have to follow the same procedure that someone who wasn't landing but just bringing a car from the US? or do we just drive to the Canadian border, hand them our B4 Form(Goods to Follow) and they stamp it? I am very confused on this subject. Could someones possibly list the steps that someone took before to bring their car from the US to Canada while landing! Any help would be great!

Looking for input.

We got a letter last month asking for my husband (He is American) to get Canadian fingerprints done with RCMP, to be sent directly to CIC. He was given a new UIC # on that letter. The old UIC I was given when I sent in sponsorship app no longer works.

What can I infer from this?

We are going Inland. App received April 2015.

Dear sponsor's name,
This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2016/04/21 on behalf of the following member(s):

You need to formally import the car. Search the forum, there are several threads about this topic.

May be really worth adding this link to the very beginning of this topic. It has more detailed information on the processing of family members:

Except that this only pertains to Outland applicants.

Inland applicants are processed with CIC's IP8 manual.

Nope. I'm the principal applicant and am visiting my husband (the sponsor) in Canada and I don't have a job at all right now.

Agreed...for those that like digging/reading through all the minutia. :)

Hi Guys

My spouse is filling the generic application form. So she is the applicant and I am the sponsor.

On Generic Form question 3

How many family members including you are in this application ?

We don't have children. Should the number be 1 ? Does she have to include me or just her?

We are also filling the application. My wife is sponsoring me. We have a son who is also a Canadian Citizen. I think since he is a Canadian citizen I should not include him in my application as dependent. Is it ok?
