Hii,

I am new here, please could some body help me on my situation which I would like to asked something, I was checking my CIC status is change to " medical result has been received" in november month what is that mean ? and what after that status ? and when i'll get the passport request from immigration department??
Hi

It means exactly what it says: they have your medical results. It has no bearing on when your passport will be requested and no one on here can tell you when that will happen.

hello,

Is it possible for someone to apply for a new PR if their current PR expires?
PR status never expires, only the card expires. Same as a citizen, your citizenship doesn't expire when your passport expires.

The only way you can lose PR status is if you voluntarily renounce it, or if CIC officially revokes it. If you lose PR status, then yes you can apply for PR again (if you qualify). But if just your card has expired, then you are still a PR.

Further to what Rob_TO has already mentioned:

If the PR is in Canada (and has met the 730 day RO [Residency Obligation]), s/he can simply get a new card.

If the PR is NOT in Canada, but has met the RO, s/he can get a new card.

If the PR is NOT in Canada and has NOT met the RO, they should return to Canada (ASAP) and hope that they are cleared (or not reported to CIC for non-compliance) by CBSA to re-enter Canada. If they are admitted, they would need to stay in Canada for at least 730 days, to basically reset their RO. They should not leave Canada (even for 1 day) until they have re-established the RO.

hi i have a question about form imm1344 about the co-signer details in spousal sponsorship.
they said that we don't need a co-signer in the process. should i leave it blank?
if i leave it blank, i can't validate the form.
if i type Not applicable, how about the other boxes, the dates about the co-signer.

pls. reply

Question no.3 you are answering with NO so it should be removed all details about a co-signer

Hi guys,

I need help and I am stuck. I am not sure if this is the right place but I am worried.
I am currently pursuing PhD (Doctorate) in India and I am getting married in Feb. I had applied for WES evaluation (document by document) for my Bachelors and Masters degree. Now I plan to do Post-doctorate so I filled in the purpose as further education.
Today I received a mail from WES advising me to upgrade my evaluation type. When I open my portal it gives me an option to accept the upgradation (by paying the remaining fee) or decline. Now my question is what will happen if I decline it? Will they cancel my application or carry on with document by document?

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance.

-I applied for an inland sponsorship for my wife. we included a OWP with the spousal application.
-canada post says the application arrived 03 Dec 2014
-Her current work permit expires sometime in January 2015.

It's my understanding that, as long as her employer is willing to continue employing her, she can continue to work for him legally, under implied status ... This will be the case until we receive a decision on our OWP application. Is this correct?

This was my understanding before submitting. So I thought we were done, and now we just wait... but no... she now believes she must maintain her status legally by either getting a visitor visa or another work permit... implied status be damned...

I suppose I should just call a lawyer or the CIC helpline? anyone have any info to help me out here? Who's right here? Where can I find the answers?

Thanks.

From what I understand, a work permit can't continue under implied status. If her official work permit ends and she hasn't yet received the OWP you submitted with he inland application, she can no longer work. If she continues to work and doesn't have a valid work permit, she will be doing so illegally.
