Pre-Assessed..
Hello,

I am planning to sponsor my parents in Jan 2017 (via parent/grandparent family class sponsorship). Also, I am getting married in Feb 2017 so I will be submitting a spouse sponsorship in Feb.

I noticed this question in the IMM1344E form:
6."Have you submitted a previous application in respect of which a final decision has not been made for the person being sponsored and their family members" yes/no
If I answer Yes, I am not eligible to be a sponsor according to the guide.

Question: Does this mean that I cannot sponsor my spouse until the parent sponsorship complete (which could take years!)?

I also noticed the following in the guide:
If you answer “Yes” to any question between 5 and 15
You are not eligible to be a sponsor. You should not submit an application. If you are sponsoring a parent or grandparent, this does not apply to you.

I just want to be really sure about this so I don't incur any unnecessary delays in the spouse application.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can sponsor your parents and your spouse, provided you will continue to meet the LICO after getting married.

That question is asking if there is already a sponsorship application in process for the person you are filling out that particular app for. It has nothing to do with applications for other people.

What if there is a TRV in process already. Do we answer yes in that case?
