Hey Londo, so this is nothing new you're bringing to this forum follower's attention. I highlighted the exact same issues about 2 months ago. Trust me, I was being laughed at the end of the day, and I was being made aware of how much a terrible place is Pakistan to live. I'd say let them learn the hardest way. I am sure they'll miss Pakistan more when they have to go to work right after Eid Namaz, and 'Mexican mangoes' taste way better than 'Pakistani Mangoes'.. Not at all saying Canada isn't the greatest place to live, it is truly amazing but people don't want to listen to the Canadian hardship, and just want bring to Pakistan down by all means. I'll be honest one only realize the worth of Pakistan once you leave the motherland. Secondly, I see lot of counselling going here, well I definitely encourage people helping each other out. However, what fascinates me the most those who even stepped in yet here in Canada are providing guidance regarding various aspects of Canadian life style. I'm sure you're aware if you provide false counselling to someone here in Canada and they screw up you know one is up for a "Lawsuit". I don't want to say much you know the rest.
Anyways good luck on your spousal sponsorship.
Hi Arsalan, It has been a while since we have seen u around and I hope all is good at ur end.

Let me begin my clarifying a few assumptions u have made about my post. I will go line by line. Please take out time and read it all cause this is a long one. Im sure this will shed more light on my thought process and intentions as a Pakistani.

Ans) This forum is not a place to share these issues, my friend. The topic of this thread is spousal application … right? So if we stick by the topic I think we all should be avoiding topics about Canadian and Pakistani hardships/lifestyles (me included).
Hmm.. ahh..yes…please scroll up and see the post by a forum member yesterday asking us to enjoy Pakistani heat and mangoes. That comment was unneeded and could have been framed better especially on a day when there has been severe gas and power outages in the city, not to mention followed by a fuel crisis at night. Before you take this as an “offense” to our motherland please let me make it very clear that this is a FACT.. all written in news and im sure if you have any family here you would have heard the same from them. So no, im not bashing my motherland for this. Just highlighting to you and others how the comment was a hurtful and insensitive one. I am sure the poster meant to lighten up the mood and did not mean to hurt anyone.

You were not laughed at I think. There was an ‘educated discussion’ between us about that. If someone doesnot agree to your point of view and shares their perspective (with no foul language and taunting emojis), then that doesnot mean that they are laughing at you.

I'd say let them learn the hardest way.
Is that you wishing bad for us? I certainly hope you donot wish bad for your own “brothers and sisters of the same nation”

3)
I am sure they'll miss Pakistan more when they have to go to work right after Eid Namaz, and 'Mexican mangoes' taste way better than 'Pakistani Mangoes'.
Ans)Know what I miss about Eid in pakistan without my partner? The fact that I cannot even hug my husband and family over eid.. nor make the traditional kheer for him. Nor be able to attend dinners with him.. Nor be able to bond with him on a spiritual level over tarawih, iftar and suhoor. Everyone of us has different needs and motivation levels. What matters to you might not matter to me.. and vise versa. So to classify people who have a different perspective about life and who assign family and material gains different importance levels in their lives as any less patriotic than u are, is a sweeping statement.
Mangoes be they Mexican or Pakistanis or from the North Pole even (I know nothing grows there

) , I dont like them and I don’t care where they are from. Period. As it is I find the mango topic a very absurd one in the original post and I made it very clear that I dislike them so I don’t miss them anywhere in the world. J

but people don't want to listen to the Canadian hardship,
Ans) Yes, people donot want to listen to the hardship bit because we are literate individuals who read news and network with others across the globe. Moreover, this forum is not the right place to tell us about the Canadian hardship. Most of us are married grown-ups with our spouses living there. I am sure most of us have a fair idea about the country we are stepping into. Economics, employment, environment and culture yep most of it is covered for majority of us I guess. My sincere request to all forum members, to stick to the topic and to not indulge in discussions which spark a debate and are not needed.

and just want bring to Pakistan down by all means. I'll be honest one only realize the worth of Pakistan once you leave the motherland.
Ans) Bringing down pakistan? Oops.. am i? I think our dear prime minister’s daughter has done a commendable job taking care of that bit on Twitter (a public forum which people across the world use).

No need for me to be doing anything and nor do I wish to speak bad about a country which has given me lots to be thankful for. The issues I highlighted above are well know to many across the globe already... Again in this digital age, nothing remains hidden and everybody knows the problems prevalent in Pakistan. So im not bringing my country down by stating the facts.
I never bad mouth about my country anyway. I never go about falsely praising my country and shrugging its problems under the carpet simply because in my opinion that would be hypocritical and false information.
We will know the worth of our motherland. I think u do too. Then why donot you just fly back in? Im sure you cannot cause you have certain family/ economic commitments or life goals to achieve which Canada is helping you with. It is very much the same for us, we too cannot turn our backs on our spouses and family commitments inspite of having read about the Canadian hardships and how badly we might miss Pakistan once we are there.

Ans) Noone here is providing any guidance about Canadian lifestyle I believe. I visit the forum everyday and members effectively stick to the topic i.e spousal application and its processing. Please let the admin or moderator know where false counselling is being done so that people are not misguided. If you are certain that the information being provided is false and can harm others, it is ur moral duty as a forum member and as a fellow Pakistani to share the correct information as well. Let us try to be helpful for one another rather than bringing each other down or scaring each other.

I think iv tried my best to clarify my stance about my country. From my end this is it. If anyone wishes to label me as a bad mouther of Pakistan, they may gladly do so cause at the end of the day I know who I am and where my loyalties and priorities in life lie.
All the best for your application process too.
