Hi guys. Recently applied for spousal sponsor in Feb 2017. Just wanted to ask if it's okay to change principal applicant's ID card and passport to include the husband name instead of father? Once both are changed, we will notify and send photocopies to CIC.

What documents copies have you submitted to CIC ? If you have provided with the old NIC and Passport keep it the same for now to avoid delays and further documents proof.

Have you checked you ECAS? does it say decision made on principal applicant side? If it does say that then you can be 100% sure that what u received in mycic is a ppr

I'm a 2016 Applicant, they only asked for a photocopy of my passport

Re: Back office pilot programme

Hey All,

I have some update for all of you regarding back office pilot programme. I emailed CIC and they informed me that in this programme the original visa office such as CPC Mississauga reviews files for completeness before it gets assigned to a visa officer overseas for initial review. This helps as all the documents are completed before being assigned to visa officer and results in reducing processing time/backlog.

I guess the above makes sense as lot of people are getting request for forms, photos, PC, medical etc within a month or so of filing the application with hope that it will reduce processing time when a visa officer is reviewing eligibility.

Hope above response helps for people who were concerned about back office pilot programme.

Seems correct as when I applied, I received document request from CPC Mississauga. And when I provided the documents, my status changed in E-Case as "We started processing your Application." Hope this will help us to get the visa's soon. What I don't under is how long they will take to assess the eligibility. If all the documents are there along with relevant supporting then they should not take months to decide that if someone is eligible or not. : Specially in straight forward cases with children. I don't think any body will be ready in Pakistan to have children with someone just for sake of visa, specially the wife cases.. :'(

Aslamolaikum, I am Waqas Ahmad , Lahore pak. My wife gonna apply to sponsor me from yOn, Canada. its been more than a year to our wedding. She visited here twice. We have a baby boy born in canada. Please suggest me 1 thing i have completed rest of my papers except my family iformation, which is giving problem. One of my brther has mentioned our Fatherz wrong name rest of others have correct.Please what is the best solution because he is out of pakistan in Dubai. plzzzzz give me a solution my case has not started after long time.

i receive our orignal nikka nama and some of my husband's study certificate back?
Do u guys think it's a good sign?

Askm, do they send the original documents back to the sponsor or the applicant? Did you get it in Pakistan or Canada?
