I submitted my spouse passport fpr PR visa in VFS islamabad on 20th of Nov 2015, does anybody have any idea how many days it"ll take to return the passport???

In your post you are saying your "interview was cancelled and they gave you a new date" then don't understand what other date you are looking for, if they already advise you an alternate date.... Don't understand your question :-[

I agree with you. The inquirer should read his email thoroughly and look for any attachments. Plus, also look in junk/spam mail sections for any new emails.

They asked me proofs and police certificate etc and said bring these documents with you when you come for interview but they cancelled my interview before 2 days of interview.They said they will email me new letter with an interview date in January with in next 30 days. reply plz same thing happened to others???

Dear All

Does anybody have an idea, what should I do. As I am still waiting for visa to stamp on my wife passport, my flight date is coming near. I send them an email on 25th of November and also send them an inquiry about visa through the website except the auto email confirmations no action yet. We submit the passport on 30th October. Its now already more than 21 working days...

I am now in Pakistan, can I call the consulate directly if yes, what is its number or go there, or what should I do..

Well, some members received it after 2, some after 3 and some received it after 6 weeks. You need to stay patient and rest assured, if you haven't made any mistake, you will get your passport back. Plus, always keep in mind that whatever happens, will happen for the best.

I found this from CIC wesite see below;


Photograph and head size specifications
Image described to the right

The frame size must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″).
The photographs must show the full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the photograph, and include the top of the shoulders.
The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 1/4″) and 36 mm (1 7/16″).
Crown means the top of the head or (if obscured by hair or a head covering) where the top of the head or skull would be if it could be seen.
If the photographs do not meet the specifications, you will have to provide new photographs before your application can be processed.

Go to a good photgrapher and most of them have canadian immigration specificatios... they will do it for you.

It is always recommended to include a cover letter with with subject as "add on for Application No." all your application details also explaining which documents you are sending and purpose of this mail. On envelope what I do is just write the addresses and also mention the application number. I also attach a list of documents which I am sending.
