varies from file to file but normally it takes 3-6 weeks.....

For the cases filed in 2014, i can say that its not been a year so u can rely on the already submitted proofs.. But there are people from 2012 and 2013 and they were being asked to submit proofs in order to show if the marriage is still ongoing. anyways you have your reasons to believe it as it would delay cases. i would suggest if you are not hearing for more than a year, you need to submit something atleast that would actually show your concern to vo somewhat.. Even if it delays the process for a few days. Although they would hold the files for another 30 days and then ask u to submit more things, rather why dont u do that voluntarily.

Delays spanning a few days are a very optimistic presumption. I think from prior experience with visa offices we can conclude that delays are not a matter of days but months. It even implies to inquiries on knowing the status of your file i.e notes! You have no way of know the type of additional documentation a visa officer may require so i really dont think you should get involved in guessing to that effect. If your file is delayed it may still be a matter of being in the wrong end of a long queue. Their processing pattern is very random, cases with overlapping timelines are not treated the same way. I am seeing files transferred a month after mine getting more attention.

in interview, IO said they'll contact with me after2, 3 weeks for PPR but its more then 1 month now.. still waiting..

You can have your opinion but for me it worked. I submitted additional proofs in january first week. Got medical request in the same month. I would say it triggered my process. Now its in process.

I send my change in address details by email and got the following reply today,

We have received your request with your new address, and the information has been updated to reflect your new contact details. Note that the change of address made by our office may not be reflected on E-Cas. Also note that we will not confirm receipt of fax/ mail/ email received at this office but your file will be updated.
Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post to the applicant at the mailing address provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

A couple of months ago, I also submit the change in address but through Case Specific Inquires webform, and My address got updated on ECAS after 1 week time..No email except automated reply that they have got my request...

When you land you need to be processed by immigration. Without having the means to communicate with immigration officers it would be hard to obtain his or her landing papers.

Hi guyz please advise me.. Could I apply study or visit visa when the permanent visa is in process? My file is transfer to London office in august 2014. I heard that the London office changed its processing time 11 months to 29 months. I am soo woried. Please advice me can I apply visit visa??

did your husband had a interview or did they ask for more proofs of contact?
Did they return your nikahnama. Mine was mailed back last week?

no interview, or additional proofs were asked for , but thats probably cause i sent them alot of pictures after my visit to Pakistan. I didnt wait till they asked me for anything, I always provided it beforehand to speed up the case time.
But nothing has been mailed back as of yet. they have all my husbands degrees, and our marriage certificate! Im getting nervous about that

Chances of visit visa are second to none, if you have a really really strong reason of returning back from Canada, you have past travel international history and some property or something (which you cannot manage while abroad long time) on your name then go ahead give it a try otherwise, simply it's next to impossible.

I applied for my wife's visit visa in October attached her job letter, her vacation letter, a letter from my employer saying he is working on a project which is of interest to whole province so he can't get vacations to visit his wife, also a letter from MP too, showed all accounts etc also. but still got rejected with a reason that she will not return back.

and don't worry about the 29 months change, I can safely say we will not be effected by it (after watching 3 cases getting their remeds on time). INSHA ALLAH March will be our month

Don't worry because they have already requested you a passport. I am nervous because my case is kind of different. I am still wondering that why did they return them so fast to me. Lol
yeah i always waited for their response because it says on the form that don't send us any extra proofs unless asked.
Anyhow, i hope things go well for all of us.
