Good evening,
I need some advice and assistance in regards to my Wife's application.
We got married on April 17th, 2015 in a civil court. we then had our church wedding in October of the same year. we had originally planned on moving to one of the Gulf Countries to start our lives together as a means of waiting out the processing time. unfortunately due to the economic situation over there, i couldn't find a job for the time being.
That being said, I have started working out on the IMM forms needed to complete my wife's papers. from what i gathered, i need to complete IMM 3900, 3999, and 3911.
I ran into some problems. one of them was the fact that i need to ave the original police certificate for my wife from Syria. the other was the fact that she needs to sign IMM 5490 which she can't, because as far as we know, there is no postal services within Syria due to the war.
my first question is to know if anyone here has any idea of how she can send me the forms or if there is another way to proceed. i won't be able to apply if she doesn't have those forms... I called CIC and the lady said that they ''might'' accept it if you explain in a letter why i don't have the originals. as you all know, i do not want to leave it to chance...
my second question is to know if there is another possible way of bringing my wife here before the minimum 17 months that the CIC is giving me. I have my brother, and my 2 cousins that are getting married roughly during the end of August and through September. at the beginning i was thinking of applying as a tourist visa and explaining that we will be applying from within Canada as i have the financial means to support both of us. but then i found out that if i applied in these terms, the application will be denied as they will give the reason of her never leaving Canada after the term of 6 months is over.
My wife has both, Syrian and Armenian passports. she was born in Syria and studied in Moscow, Russia as a doctor.
I need some advice as how I can process this in the most efficient way possible.
I appreciate any help in this matter,
Thank You
