Same thing happened to someone i know. I really don't blame immigration for giving interview pretty much any Bengali or south Asian Applicant. People abused the system so much that now normal people suffer. It used to be so easy before. People than started making marriage their business. I got an inside news from some immigration officer. The news is that they are now monitoring these forums. They are changing the interview system all the way. Soon it will be no more asking questions. It will be more on evidence (phone, pictures, Facebook etc), surprise visit at your home etc. As you can see it started already. My wife's interview was like that. My friend's older brother got married last year. Its a regular application. No interview til last week. Someone from immigration visited the priest office and asked questions about the marriage certificate and nikha nama. As you know people who are in the office really not that educated and couldn't answer the questions properly. Next thing they got an interview letter.

Genuine marriage face worst interview because of the fake marriage. Sometime real marriage is refused by immigration officer. Now a day if immigration officer monitoring this forum it is good. I think if they change the interview system it is not bad idea. Before my interview I see -------
1. student interview video
2. Spousal interview video
3. American citizenship video
4. Different lawyer interview video ( American, France, Canada)
I watch many video because I want to know how applicant represent them infornt of the immigration officer. I learnt many things from this video. I prepare 1000 questions for my interview and try to mock interview with myself. Only three questions are common and other 31 question are related to my sponsor. If any applicant does not know about his/her sponsor it is very difficult to pass the interview.
Cross check is more difficult in the interview. Because you don’t know what the other person answer. The only way if you want to pass the cross checks to tell the truth and not to change your question answer.
When I become a member of this form no active member in this forum who give the right information. I see people of this form said that interview held a year two times. But it is false information. Now a day interview held in every month. No one here can tell an new applicant the right information.
When I first know about my interview I think I need to go Singapore for my interview. I have no idea that the interview held in Dhaka. The information I give in this forum it is very important for every applicant. But interview question are different for every applicant because every case is different from other.
I have many documents with me and I bring all the documents in the interview. I will very happy if my immigration officer sees those documents. If my immigration officer sees my documents it makes me more confident. It is true when I submit my application I have not enough documents because within 4 month my husband apply for me. Now it passed two years and I have many and enough documents to proof that my marriage is genuine.
I will very happy if immigration officer change their system and check the documents. It makes the applicant more confident. I think no fake marriage proof that marriage is genuine if the officer sees the documents.
It is my opinion.
