Hey Guys, August 17th applicant here:

So after receiving the AIP and SA and seeing the Decision Made on my spouse's ECAS on the 22nd of June I called CIC today to see if there are any updates and it turns out that they actually sent me an interview request for next Monday and I had no idea as they sent it to the wrong email address! They said they put in a request to have it resent to me, however it will likely not get to me in time. They also said that it should be fine as I am in the system for an appointment and can show all the other documents I have including a confirmation of correspondence letter from today that has this wording in it:
"Confirmation of PR inside Canada - Required documents
Congratulations on reaching the final step of your immigration application."

They also gave me the Etobicoke address which I would appreciate if someone would confirm for me (message me if you think that is better). Do you guys think that it will be OK? I am slightly worried about my spouse taking a day off only to be turned away or having any other issues because of this.

Thanks for any help!

I would show up anyway. I wonder what would happen if you never called. In the landing letter it even says "Failure to appear for this interview may be interpreted as evidence that you are no longer seeking permanent residence in Canada, and your file may be closed accordingly"

This is the address as per landing letter:
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada – Toronto (Etobicoke) (Citizenship and Immigration Canada on official signs) 5353 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke, ON M9B 6K5 Suite 100, Ground Floor; also accessible via 5343 Dundas Street West

I am showing up anyway too but now I am super worried! I at least have confirmation that we talked about it but this is scary! Ps. I think they might have updated the address since because it seems like it is on the first floor now.

after looking pages and pages back.. I found the member here who had the similar issue! here is what he posted:

''I am totally annoyed and upset today. I was advised by CIC agents that my landing is today at 1 PM at Vancouver immigration office ( I was informed of this when I called them to note that I hadn't received any mail with date even after two weeks of waiting). When I turned up there, the fellows at the reception refused entry and denied that an appointment was booked. I had confirmed the landing date with two different agents on two different days and had specifically asked both times if I could go the office without the letter and both agents has said 'yes'. After having waited for 17 months, they have messed up with my landing interview email/date. I have to now wait some more days to get another appointment and if at all they act responsibly, I am likely to finish this process.''
Holy hell, wow!!! Ok now I am nervous!

My friends from Montreal who passed the medical can you please help me to choose a doctor? I would appreciate if you could share your experiences. thanks a lot guys.

Hey guys! Finally received our landing interview in Vancouver! It is LITERALLY scheduled the day my visitor permit extension expires (July 24th)
Should I extend my permit then? My husband surely seems to think we should since the wording on this visitor record is that "must leave Canada by...." I think that ou case office might be a little more flexible than that. What do you guys think???

Either way I am very happy this is almost at its end and want to hank you all for your support in this stressful time. I joined in the conversation late but I always lurked at the comments throughout this year for support and you guys granted me that. Thank you:)

I would go.

There is a person at reception that looks at the letter that you were supposed to receive for Interview time, and he/she will look at a list that has all the names of people who were scheduled for appointments that day and they will cross your name off. If you are scheduled like CIC told you, then your name will definitely be there, and you will just have to show your passport for identity proof

Can anyone who has recently gotten Permanent Residence in April/May/June be able to tell me if they have gotten their PR Card yet, or if they are still waiting for it.

A question for folks who got results. In general, when should I expect an application status change on ECAS from Application Received to others? Or it would change to DM directly without middle stage at the end of 12 month period. Thanks in advance!

Ours changed to "In Process" once they started processing the Sponsors Application eligibility, which was about 2 weeks after sending in the medical documents in. A few weeks after that itchanged also in the Applicants status to "In Process".
