Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

Just curious to know how many of you whose applications are past the 12 month mark have lived in other countries (aside from your home country) before coming to Canada?

And for those of you have landed, but have lived in other countries (i.e., sent more than 1 police certificate), how far past 12 months did it take?

I have seen several of you who have lived in other countries going on 13, 14, 15 months still waiting, and I personally am at 13.5 months now (have sponsor DM and AIP for myself so far).

Hi everyone, I'm an inland December 13(2017) applicant.

I just received an email asking for my Medical Exam and Fingerprints.
Do you guys know in what point of the process I should be at? 50%, 60%, 70%? And what expect next by timeline and next procedures?
How far am I from the Approval in Principle?

Application Received by CPC Mississauga: 12/13/2017
AOR: 01/26/2018
Criminal Records sent: 01/30/2018
OWP Approved: 03/27/2018
Fingerprints Request: 06/13/2018
Medical Examination Request: 06/13/2018

Why did you get fingersprint request ? I guess that’s only for people who are out of status?

not really, I know a lot of people in status who got request included myself. In the letter was sayng they requested it because I'm living in canada for more than 6 months

Huh, I've been living here for over 4 years and always in status until our app was returned. So, I guess the reason could be anything.

Finally got a letter for landing today (June 13) for Etobicoke. Landing is on the 16th June, yes 8:30 am on a saturday! Its finally over for us.

Yes it’s good. Now I feel our turn will come up within time of 12 months . last time medical requests came like this altogether . Then a stop for a month lol

~2 weeks to our applications' birthday (I'm June 29). Definitely not gonna land within 12 months given that it takes a while after AIP, DM and what not. Sad.

As long as I hear anything soon otherwise I need to send off an open work permit app which I really don’t wanna do as I should most definitely have my PR by October (when my IEC visa expires).

I’m nearly at the year mark, lived in 1 other country other than Canada and Australia, worried this will slow my app down

You get fingerprint requests if your name matches with someone in the system with convictions
