Hi! I’m actually in the same situation - my old passport’s expiry date was March, 2018 and I got the OWP till the same date. I sent the application under my old passport in late May and renewed my passport in July. I have applied for a new OWP in January - 2 months before the current one expires. I still haven’t received the new one yet but I can still live and work in Canada under implied status (I checked with CIC) so now I am waiting for the new OWP and PR process to be done at the same time :) hope this helps!
Thank you for your help, will do the same.good luck with your pr approval.

If you submitted the wrong fee and had to resend, you are placed at the beginning of the queue again. So if you submitted originally in December, and had it returned to you in January with missing fees, your real submission date is whenever you mail the application back with completed fees. The processing time is 3 months from resubmission.

So I’ll be waiting 3 months from the date of resubmission then. I ticked off wrong box but had correct fees.

Ok, my process is going and the interview was scheduled for the very end of the month. Thank you everyone for your support and sharing the information.

...Got 2 papers last week - Confirmation of interview date and draft of CoPR. Have several questions now (for those who passed this stage already).

1. Is the landing interview mostly about confirming the information on this CoPR draft? Or something additional?
2. In the instructions they wrote I will need to send the signed copies of CoPR draft to the by mail? Is that how it's usually done?
Because, I believe, most people wrote they signed the papers, scanned them and sent. And got the document back the same way (signed by officer, stamped, scanned and sent back to MyCIC).

Any other suggestions/information in preparation for the interview? Can people have somebody to translate for them if they don't speak English well?
Congrats! I have an interview in a few days but not CoPR. Is yours in person? I wonder why the difference

Hi! That is what I had to do. Since we have the phone interview, we need to sign and initial both the docs (which they will let you know during the interview), then you will have to mail it to them.

I had my interview last week, and hopefully my COPR gets stamped today. I had a bad run-in with Canada Post, and then I mis-printed the doc incorrectly on legal paper. SO this whole telephone interview, set me back a week. I would have much preferred an in-person interview because of this set back. Plus I also have to go another day and get my SIN number, although it takes a few minutes, its another additional step that could have been avoided. But I will take the telephone interview any day if it means I don't have to wait 8-10 weeks.

Yep, I did. You just have it done under "Worker" because there's no longer a "Family" class to categorize the medical under. It still gets processed as "Family".
Great! When I make medical exam appointment, should I tell them to use 'Worker' form and leave my client ID# or case number?

I am Dec 14th applicant . My OWP application is Updated to eligibility is being reviewed ! Fingers Crossed :D
Great ! Same for me .... Iam November 29th applicant.

Does anybody know how long it takes after this step to be definitely approved?

Hi all, We are waiting for our work permit. Talked on the phone to CIC . They said it may be issued mid March and that we should be able to link the OWP already. Our OWP is heavily delayed because we send the wrong fee and CIC sent the notification about missing fee to the wrong mailing address. We have not been able to link the OWP app. yet. QUESTION: A potential employer is suggesting they could write a letter on our behalf and we could upload it to Canada.gc for a small chance in making a difference. Is this a thing? If so, where would we upload such a letter? Once the OWP is linked is there a place to upload additional documents??? I have read the tips here about linking OWPs but if you have any more they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - love you guys.
hi skiracer1,
We have the same issue here. My OWP got returned too due to wrong fee payment. It was sent back to Vegreville in December. Last time I called CIC, they told me it will take up to 4 month to get an approval, which will be around April. Did you have any updates regarding your OWP yet?
Hope we both get our OWP soon!

I’m confused, I have this status since I linked my OWP

Review of eligibility Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.

What’s your status now?

Yes, but it changed to “ we are reviewing wether you meet the eligibility...”

I re-sent my OWP app to Vegreville on Jan 18. And I could link it on Jan 24. if you could not link it or you could not get an application number for your OWP from CIC call center, maybe they have not received your application at all!
