Thanks.

Question, in the letter it says:

At this time, you need to provide a police certificate for:
1) The country where you currently live, if you have lived there for six months or more; and
2) The country where you have spent most of your adult life since the age of 18.

You must also provide this for every family member (whether accompanying you to Canada or not) who is aged 18 or older. Please refer to your application guide for a definition of “family member”.

How do I obtain a police certificate for Canada? And does my husband need to get one as well?
hi i know people say we do not need a canadian police certificate
we have actually same request ,they ask me to upload a multiple police certs. they don't specifically mention what countries , but I assume they are asking for my birth country, hongkong since i worked there for more than 6 months and canada since i stay here for more than 1 year as a worker ,So I think its a case to case basis and if $20 finger prints hurt why not do it for peace of mind.. lol

Hi, July applicant here - have not checked in in a while, wanted to know about medical request timeline? Any July applicants received their medical requests yet? I haven't.

I now get an error when I try to login to my account?? Can't seem to login anymore.

Error 403

I just tried login in and got the same message. They might be still doing some maintenance.
There was one scheduled for yesterday, it might've gone wrong. =/

If you click on the blue "i" icon next to where you upload the documents it says "any country other than Canada". So just your Hongkong certificate should be sufficient. In my account it also says multiple police certs.

Hello all
I am new to the forum and really need advice. Received my AOR since september and sent background check on October but haven't received any updates yet. I found out I am pregnant (it was highly unexpected) on December and I am very nervous as to how in the world we are going to be able to afford the delivery... I live in Ottawa and have contacted every midwife group available in here and no one wants to see me for a check up (either they require a health card or they are full) let alone talking about a home delivery (Which I heard would be more affordable than a hospital birth). Does anyone here have any suggestions??? Please anything!!!

hi all,

My wife received her owp and now waiting for next steps. We just found out that she is pregnant, do we have to notify CIC?
Congrats!!! Such great news! Not sure whether you have to notify CIC, though I personally would as it won't hurt.

Question. Even though I was able to link application without receiving AOR in my e-mail, do I still receive AOR later? In my account I already have a message asking for Schedule A and PCC and it says "action required". My sponsor also didn't receive an e-mail.

Does anyone have "tricks" on how to go through an agent when calling IRCC? I think I have gone through the automated system countless times already. Sigh.

This is what I do, I just off the phone with CIC after waiting for 33 minutes to talk to an agent

Hope this helps.
PS - I usually get a hold of them 2-4 pm EST. Any other time it is always busy.
