I made the mistake of only paying the $100 toward my OWP also.
I'm still waiting on AOR, but I paid the $155, printed the receipt, and sent the receipt to the Vegreville Alberta office (the office that takes care of work permits). I also included an explaination that I underpaid and am applying for inland PR under family class. I also included my UCI, which I think some people have and some don't (I was assigned a UCI from extending my visitor status a few times). No word on anything yet, but hopefully it won't delay my OWP now :)
Do you happen to have the address?? :D I called immigration Canada on Monday and I received my AOR today.
Timeline:
Application received: Sept 27th 2017
AOR received: Nov 29 2017
In my phone conversation on Monday the lady was saying we couldn't do anything to intercept the OWP application and we had to wait til it got sent back to us. I dont think that is true tho because others on here have said they made the same mistake. I would love it if anyone can offer some advice. Thanks a lot!

Your PR application won't be delayed because of this either, don't worry, however, it might delay your OWP approval indeed.
Btw I wanted to thank you. I did end up calling. I hope that someone can provide help me correct this. The person I spoke with ont he phone wasnt very helpful but i will try calling again now that i received my AOR.

Once you have the AOR, I think you can make a payment. Call the customer service and find out if a file number has yet been associated with your OWP application. Then you can ask them how to make a payment. Try this.

Also link your application in MyCIC and see if your OWP application number pulls up there.

Sent back my OWP application for me to. Resent and Received at vegreville office on Sep 5th. Still waiting for OWP
did you receive AOR for your OWP yet? We sent ours back a few weeks ago due to lack of payment of the $155, but no AOR yet.. Not expecting it for a while still :(

We were requested to submit Schedule A and Police Clearance Check (from Australia). We filled out the SA but are waiting for the PCC to come from Aus. Do we wait until the PCC arrives to submit both documents together? It still is not in and the request was made on Oct. 31 so I am getting a bit anxious that we haven't submitted anything yet.

Thank you! I am currently experiencing the problems with linking my application to my CIC account. I will definitely try giving them a call and update for anyone else. Thanks a lot!

well, this is not a question for general public. but I assume officers will go for holidays and we will see a reduction in the number of updates.

but hey, who knows they might give an early Christmas present :p ;)

looking at this thread, there was a slow time around summer and AOR time increased.

I was asking based on everyone's experience from before. But THANKS!

I am a May 5th 2017 applicant, I have read that some May 2017 applicants already have received medical request. I am starting to worry that I have not, they started
background check since July,
since then I have no updates.

I am currently on visitor visa in Canada and have submitted my inland application for spousal sponsorship and open work permit-acknowledged by CIC on 28/08/2017. I would like to know if I can exit Canada for two weeks without any impact to my application.

Also is it required to exit the country in 6 months on visitor visa while waiting for work permit/PR.

Can you explain more for "So do I have to flagpole to activate the new permit?" -> I thought we will have work permit when they mail it to us? Do we need to do something else?

And yeah, maybe different provinces so different timelines. But from what I heard before, applicants from Quebec take longer time to get PR because we have to work with all the papers like the rest of provinces + we have to work more for CSQ - I passed that step and I was so happy. Now I'm worried for Medical request. I read that people from May just got it now.... It takes such a long time!
Flagpole = border run. With some permits and with your PR card I know you have to exit then re enter the country to activate it, at immigration they stamp your passport and such. Im wondering if we have to do this with the OWP but seeing as it already says active and has a beginning date, I am assuming that we do NOT have to do a border run... if anyone can confirm this I would appreciate it though! :)

SQUEEE! We just received our AOR for our application we sent in on Sept 12, 2017. I've been approved to sponsor my spouse.
congrats. You received both AOR and sponsorship approval on the same day? This is amazing.
