Can anyone give me access to the spreadsheet? Thanks.

Hey all,

My common law partner and I submitted our application for sponsorship and still haven't heard anything back. According to our online page, the application was received on June 22, and they started processing our application on July 21. There has been no update of anything since. We are still waiting to see if I am "approved" to sponsor her (don't know the official term), and her open work permit.

What is the average time frame for these things?

Hi @mjustind
I am a Feb applicant and still waiting for Sponsor Approval.

I did my medicals back in Jun 2017, and it says passed on myCIC. But no news from CIC since then...

I hate all the waiting...

am i guessing everyone is locked out of the spreadsheet now ?

Hi all. I received AOR on 8 march. Got my work permit already. Just this week I logged onto CIC to see if anything has changed and there was an update... it says background check in process now. I passed my medical exam a while back also. Anyone else been in the Same boat and have an idea of how long till I get SA or AIP or DM from this point in time?

Hi, Thanks for sharing the info. I received my AOR late March. Just like yours background check is in progress now. But I did not apply for open work permit (OWP) with my application. Do you know if I can send OWP application now? Do you think it will approved before the sponsorship itself? Please correct me if I am not making sense. Thank you.

Hi guys
I want to file spousal application for my fiancé who is on a study permit in Canada ,I am a permanent resident here living in canda from 2011.(we both have indian passport). We know each other from 7 years,he came to Canada in jan 2017,and we got engaged in may 2017 back in india.
we are planning to do religious ceremony later once our parents are here ,as they have applied for super visa and I don't know how long it will take .
We want to start the paperwork and apply for sponsorship by doing civil wedding .
So we are planning to get married in civil ceremony in Ontario, but it takes 10-12 weeks to register our wedding here and get the marriage certificate ,without which I cannot file the application for his PR.
So I checked in NEWYORK you can get the marriage certificate same day as you get married .
So my question is will my marriage certificate recognizable for immigration if I get married in NEW YORK, we wont have any legal issues.
In that case I can apply for his PR and Work permit .

Can anyone please suggest me what will be the best scenario for me?

Not sure who said it take 10-12 weeks, mine took 5-6 weeks. Some people have gotten theirs even faster. Apply for it and in the meantime all the paperwork together and once it comes add it to the package.

I see we have a similar timeline but my application was received in the office on June 26th and AOR July 26th. I have already received my OWP a while ago. We still don't have the sponsor's approval but I have read that SA AIP etc. come around the same time. I think we/you might get the medical request before the SA but I might be wrong. Weren't you asked to submit your PCC and Schedule A?

I called and asked service Ontario ,and even on their website it says 8-10 weeks.

Maybe that's what they say, I could be wrong. We sent ours in a week after in wedding (first week of December) and received it midJan.

Send it in asap, and I think you can even track it online. I remember checking it everyday once I sent it.

Maybe they have more weddings now and people are sending many in. But it should get back fairly quickly.

At city hall the lady told us to wait for 2 months and then send it, but I read it where people were sending it in and it came within 5-6 weeks.

All you have to do is, once you apply for cert, fax a letter with the reason of urgency to service ontario. also attach the proof of urgency, fr example - your visa is about to expire.

they will process it within days.

you can go to a province within Canada to get the faster processing like Manitoba. However, i am not sure about certificates issued in USA.

Hey all,

We're joining the Inland party here. My fiance is from the US and I'm a Canadian citizen. We're living in Southern Ontario. His application was received on September 14th (confirmation from Canada Post) and we've yet to hear back and receive the AOR. It's been really nerve wracking waiting for a response, so I appreciate all of the posts and feedback about the wait times.
