Hi everyone,

I sent them my Schedule A and Police criminal check back in May and they sent me an email in July saying that they have received the documents. My CIC account still says Background check N/A and Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.

Can someone else with the same timeline please let me know if yours says this also :)
Thanks!

Received 2nd AOR April 4th 2017
Received OWP May 1st 2017
Received request for Schedule A and PCC May 9th (Late due to Glitch)
Received Medical request June 14th 2017
Done Medicals June 24 and July 2nd
Medicals passed July 14th 2017

I'm reading your comment and I'm wondering - How do they inform you about the glitch? Did they just randomly send you the request? Or was it more like "we are sorry we meant to send it 2 months ago, please do it now" ?

No, that won't work I think. That file number is specifically for family class PR. I used my UCI and last name for OWP.
Hai,
Thanks for your reply...

Just now I also linked my OWP application with UCI and last name the same way as u did and it shows that it is online application but i sent by paper application and it was received a week before I even sent it in..should i do anything further for this?? Or just wait patiently??

I decided to wait. Seeing that it is the same for both of us I would assume it's a bug. I think we will get our OWP within a few weeks, but I am basing this on a gut feeling haha.

I think it is a bug because it's not the first time I see someone mentioning it. Mine had also the wrong date. I didn't do anything with it and everything has turned out to be fine.

Hi team /group,

I have a question regarding sequence of OWP + PR under spouse and common law partner in canada class . As per guide I am confuse here so please confirm and if need to correct my sequence of documents .
As per guide , I am copying here for convenience:
  1. If you’re applying under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada class and the person you are sponsoring is also applying for an open work permit, after the checklist, place:
    • the work permit application form and documents (if applicable) and
    • a separate fee payment receipt for the cost of the work permit application
  2. The order of documents should be as follows:
    • checklist;
    • open work permit application (and supporting documents), if applicable;
    • any barcode pages;
    • supporting documents, in the order they’re listed on the checklist.

so it means sequence of documents should be :
1- Sponsor and PA applicant checklist IMM 5533.
2- Work Permit checklist IMM 5556
3- Applications to change conditions or Extend my stay in canada IMM 5710
4- Fees of OWP.
5-Supporting documents for OWP
6- Barcode page of IMM 5710 (OWP) form
7-Barcode pages of PR forms IMM 0008 and IMM1344
8-PR all required forms and documents.
am I correct, can someone correct or confirm me ? please . Thanks again for your time

Hi BertlCamus,

Thanks for your reply.
Just wanted to know how did you link your OWP application?
Can we link the OWP with the one file number we received on the AOR?
It is CIC's weird online portal. Even though it was a paper submission, you are linking it online which shows it as an "online" application.

Remember it isn't a perfect system...

hi everyone,

My inland PR with OWP( sent in one application) application status

AOR received - Aug 28, 2017
Linked online-Aug 29, 2017
Schedule A and PCC request - Aug 29, 2017

I havent heard anything about my OWP. Should I be worried? Are the two applications(PR and OWP) linked separately bcoz I only have linked my PR? Nothing about OWP.

Thanks in advance.

from what i have read on this thread, OWP takes a 3-4 months to get approved.

PR and OWP apps are linked separately.

That's similar to what I did. It's a bit ambiguous where the bar code pages go (ahead of the checklists or not).

Think you should move the OWP barcode page ahead of IMM 5710 though.

Good luck! I sent mine yesterday.

Hi,

I don´t know if I´m stupid or not, but what does "2nd AOR" means?
Thanks :D

I am an April applicant and still haven't heard anything about medical exam :O

Hi, I have not received any Schedule A/PCC request after my AOR arrived on 21st Sept. Is that normal?

When you say 3-4 months, is that from the AOR date or when the application reaches the CIC?

it should be in your messages if you have linked your account online ?

They don't inform you... You can have a clue if you go on ECAS and you have line saying they sent you a correspondance on a specific date but you never got anything on myCIC or email. Then you call and they confirm something was sent, and have it reissued to you...
