hi,

I'm a new member but I saw your post while browsing...
does in-land application means the sponsor lives in Quebec/Canada? :)
My husband lives in Quebec and we are prepping the requirements for my sponsorship.

Hi sponklonks,

In-land sponsorship application means the person being sponsored lives in provinces in Canada. It can be Quebec or others.
For those who live in Quebec the sponsorship application requires to be also evaluated and get accepted by Quebec in addition to the federal government.

GL for your application.

Hi Guys,

Do we tick off the document checklist with a pen or does it have to be done on the computer?
either is fine. i ticked off mine on the computer and some last minute documents by pen.

couple more questions please.

1. What is the fees for open work permit? Do I only select Work permit (including extensions) – per person and only pay $155 or do I have to include $100 for Open work permit holder and pay 255 in total.

2. Also do I need to include a passport photo of myself in the open work permit application.

Thanks in advance

if you are submitting it online then yes. but if you are submitting it together with your pr app then no. pay the 255 or else they will return your application

Ok thank you. On the checklist any box that isn't applicable to me, is it ok for me to put N/A in the boxes or do we have to leave it blank

Hi Guys I have been away for a while, but I have also suffered with all the glitches that you guys reported. I have been checking MyCIC portal only on the first page (that list all your applications) without opening the application itself. Only May 8th I entered the application and noticed that "A document and medical are needed", after calling 10 times and waited 30min in the queue the attendant told me that the documents were (Schedule A and PCC) and also that the Medical Request is a glitch.
But the good news is we finally got the OWP last Friday (06/16/17)

Hello everyone
I have silly question. I know, If I fly out of canada, I can't enter while my inland sponsorship file in process. But I want to know, if it's alright to fly within Canada. I'm concerned because my air ticket says something about eTA.
Thank you

This is definitively not true, you can leave Canada and reenter if you meet all the criteria. e.g. Have a valid status in Canada, have a travel document (TRV or eTA).
But, while reentering if you don't pass the border Control office screening you might be sent back and your Inland application might be canceled.

Me and my wife flown to our home country for 3 weeks and we have just returned last week without any problem.

Hey Everyone.

So my envelope was sent back beacuse of a missing page (my own fault) I resent it and according to Canada Post was received by CIC on 23 May.

I haven't heard anything. No AOR etc... But my girlfriend (Sponsor) received an email saying she has been approved as a sponsor.

I find this strange as I haven't heard anything regarding the application. Just wondering if this is normal?

Thanks in Advance

Same issue happened to me. the two emails was sent to me. Mine and my spouse. Maybe your email address is incorrect or not visible. You can call CIC to updated your email address

I had the same problem with not getting a request for my schedule A. I was told to upload it through the webform but have got no reply since Wednesday last week when I did. Did you hear anything from them? Do you know they've received it?
