HOW LONG DID THEY PROCESS YOUR OWP? AND WHEN FILLING UP THE FORMS FOR OWP DO YOU NEED TO HAVE A PERSPECTIVE EMPLOYER OR NO? JUST LEAVE IT BLANK ? TIA
 
HI EVERYONEE, MY HUSBAND IS CURRENTLY HOLDING A TOURIST VISA, AND I AM PLANNING TO APPLY HIM HERE (ONTARIO) INLAND APPLICATION TOGETHER WITH THE OWP. JUST WONDERING ABOUT THE PAYMENT FOR PERMANENT RESIDNT OTHE 490 I THINK. I WAS PLANNING TO PAY THAT 2WEEKS AFTER I SENT THE APPLICATION. BUT WILL PAY THE PROCESSING FEE AND OWP . IF I DECIDED TO DO THAT, HOW WILL I ATTACHED THE RECEIPT FOR 490?

AND DO YOU JUST KNOW CUZ WE HAVE SON THAT IS CANADIAN CITIZEN, I AM RESIDENT. AS A PROOF CAN I JUST PHOTOCOPY HIS BIRTHCERTIFICATE? OR SHOULD I APPLY FOR MY SON'S PASSPORT?

I just answered you in the 2016 thread.... you should be patient :).
 
I attached it on the webform. Thanks for the help. And congratulations on the quick OWP! Was it one month after you sent it or one month after they approved it?

WOAH caps haha. scared me for a second.

It took them 20 days for them to process my OWP. And no. no employer needed! :D

whoops, didn't see yours there. My app was received on March 24th got AOR on the 6th of April and then OWP was approved on the 18th of April!

lol!! im so sorry!! wow that is so fast! just wondering did u mail the owp forms wth the spousal form or separate!?

Your application was received at CIC on March 24th OR they started processing your application on that day?
Can you login to http://cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp and see all details on dates. Thanks :)
 
Hello Folks,

I applied for Spousal Sponsorship and CIC received my application on March 28th, 2017. So far I haven't received my AOR yet.

So i am bit worried about it, I have seen many people receiving their AOR in less than 10 days.

Can anyone tell me what could be the possible reason for the delay ?

I mailed it on march 23rd, they received at their mail room on March 24th, on April 6th both my wife and I got AORs as well as that they were processing for SA. I linked my OWP on the of April, and today I got notification on mycic that they made a final decision.
 
Hello people...I have been trying to get across to CIC for to days but on the negative side. I have issue with not getting the request for Shedule A and Police report. Meanwhile I am trying to fill the form and need clearance on the last part of the form; I want to know if I am to sign the last part in the presence of a Government approved official or not. Thanks

Same thing happened to me.

The sent out two batch e-mails in June 2016 which I never received. One requested requesting new forms, IMM5406 and IMM5669 (I had 30 days to respond) and the other e-mail was AOR2. I never got the e-mails and never realized this until I requested GCMS notes in Sept 2016.

I contacted IRCC via call center to inform them and to ask them to resend the e-mail since I never received them. I also sent several CSE requesting that they resend the e-mail. Eventually they did resend the e-mail, though it took while. Whilst I was waiting I resent the requested forms. Unfortunately I did not have the letter requesting the forms. CIC made another request for forms in October 2016 and again in January 2016 (my fault because I had not filled them out completely).

No I do not think you need to sign in front of a Government approved official. Someone else who completed the 2017 Schedule forms forms can clarify that.

Keep trying to call CIC at the call center but also send a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp.
