I recd the AOR yesterday!! It took 3 weeks to get it.
Yaay, Goning to see if i can add it to my online CIC account.

it takes 4 months to get the OWP, so it shouldn't be expected to receive it before then. there is no notification given about the OWP. people know it's been issued when they receive it in the mail.

If you don't know until it arrives in the mail how can you prove you're on implied status?

It s 4 months from when they get it. In the aor email you receive you ll have the exact day that immigration got your application and you abide by that date.

Whats the average time it took you guys to get your acknowledgement? I sent mine beginning of February and have yet to hear back. starting to get nervous =S

Average time right now is 3/4 weeks. Be patient my friend, this is a waiting game. Good luck

I applied for my wife from within Canada on 8th Feb and got the AOR in email today.

So, I was able to successfully see the application status in ECAS and it says APPLICATION RECIEVED. But i am unable to link the application in my CIC account. I have tried adding it in my CIC account as well as creating a new account for my wife and then trying to add in there as well.

Do you know what is the right way of doing it. It might be because i am just being impatient and it actually takes a couple days for the CIC account to start picking up the information.

I had the same issue the last 2 days, but i was finally able to link it two day morning.

I only input the UCI and application number. Then my city and country of birth. I left the passport details empty. For the last part it asks for province, city, martial status, and no of people. For the no. of people include the sponsor when counting, so if its just your spouse and yourself, it will be 2. If you had anyone else add those many more people to that box.

Hope this helps. I squealed when i was finally able to link it, i kept putting 1 in the number of people on the application since it doesnt specify to add the sponsor.

Gotchya, thanks for your inputs. I will give it a shot tomorow as i ran out of my 5 attempts in 24 hours lol. I also kept entering 1 in the last field.
