Background check and eligibility still in process. Now my concern is that I have to get medicals done again, that would suck

That sucks! Why your application took so long?

I’m
Confused with the date you gave me. Is this your first time to apply for inland sp?
We applied for my Sponsorship in July 25, 2017, passed medicals in April 2018, I haven't heard anything from them since then. AIP means Approved in principle and it applies to the PA 'principal applicant' SA means ''Sponsor approved''.

Wow that quite long.

I truly don't know why it has taking so long to have an answer, I ordered notes and they say nothing, all they said were that we are subject to have a relationship interview, (they don't mention red flags)

How long you been married? Do you have kids?

Yes, also I have been dealing with CBSA since February last year, perhaps that's one of the reasons they are taking so long? I don't know

What’s your status here in Canada?

My timeline
August 2 2018 received application.
October 30 2018 request medical exam.
November 6 passed medical.
Feb 21 2019 started processing our pr application.

Refused my restoration due to my passport expired.

You will be fine. How long you been out of status?
