Honestly, I would try again. On RAMQ website, it's clear that temporary workers are eligible. However, in another section, there is a mention of the duration of the employment. No still....even though I have a letter from my full time job they said I have to wait for AIP....

Foreign national in Québec as a temporary worker
I remember someone in Ontario got OHIP with a letter from the employer stating he intended to keep that person as his employee for more than 6 months. Maybe with a letter stating also that the employer intends to keep you for more than 6 months is what you need for RAMQ. The letter should also state that you work as full-time.
- the original of an employment authorization issued by the Canadian immigration authorities allowing you to work in Québec for more than 6 months. The authorization must indicate the employer's name and the place of employment.
Definitely, with AIP you will become eligible, but you should be able

You don't use your spouse's UCI, you use the application number, sponsor's last name, birth date and country of birth.I am a bit confused regarding the sponsor SA stage. Myself the principal applicant(the person who been sponsored) I can use my UCI and last name to check the status of our application through ECAS. But I am not sure how I can check the status from my sponsor side? I see in some comments here that they can see the application status from both side, the principal applicant and the sponsor. Thank you for all the information.
Use the same (uci or application number, last name, date of birth, place of birth) but of the sponsor. Doing that, you will see both sides.I am a bit confused regarding the sponsor SA stage. Couldn't tell for you, it usually takes 6 months but you provided medicals quite late so your timeline is a bit different now... Hopefully they will still keep the 12 months processing time with your case.Hey guys -
We completed our medical on Saturday and were told that our kids results would be submitted right away and that my husbands results would take a little longer due to the required X-ray etc. Anyways here’s my question:
How long after completing your medical does it take to hear anything back?
The request came in April but we simply didn’t have the funds due to my husband not being able to work, so we could only just complete them now. Our application was received Sep 6, 2017. Hoping for approval before we need to leave back for Australia in November
