Anybody here that have been out of status for a few years and are applying for inland spousal sponsorship that would like to share timeline, experiences through the process?
We applied mid-end December last year and I passed medicals almost a month ago. We're on the 7months mark.
I've been out of status for a little over a year now. Also didn't apply for OWP cuz at the time I knew I could only get it after AIP(usually at the end of the process) so I didn't think it was worth it. Some people say you have to apply anyways since your out of status, but we decided not to.

Hi guys, i just want to share and ask something about our application. I applied to sponsor my husband last year september. They already issued open work permit for 2 years, however we haven’t heard any update regarding he’s pr application and sponsor approval. timeline are as follows:
Received application: september 5 2017
AOR: october 31
Started application: october 30
Request schedule A: november 24
Sent scheduule A thru online account: nov. 26
Police certificate already included on the sent application
Medical request: april 9,2018
Medical done: may 3,2018
Online account says he passed the medical
It is 10months already and we don’t have any updates, is it normal? In my ecas, as a sponsor, it says application received. Any idea on when i will receive approval to sponsor?
We received our SA after almost 12 months. So i would say you are just fine :)

Yes, I think if we have waited for a year or so, it is not worth it to apply for a work permit, might as well suffer a few more weeks, months or so haha

Hey guys, I have a question
I just got asked for a Police Certificate, the thing is I came to Canada in Aug 2015, and since then I've never left Canada.
I have a PCC from my country, I got it 2 months before I came to Canada (June 2015) which I had to submit it for my student visa.
Can I use this PCC, since I've never left Canada since then?

Hi everybody! I just received my AIP.
Here's my timeline:
Application received: August 28th 2017
AOR: October 25th
Schedule A & police check requested: October 31
Schedule A & police check sent: November 14
Medical requested: March 20
Medical sent: April 14
AIP: July 16

AIP was sent from the Mississauga office and we are in Ontario. So end of August and hopefully beginning of September applicants, strap up, our time is coming :)

Any idea if common law takes any longer than married, considering extra documents and everything?

Common-law applicant here (in Montreal). App received September 26, passed medical on April 27. GCMS notes on May 17 say secondary office Vancouver immigration, app status TFR-Eligibility on May 15. Under Sponsor Eligibility it said Not Started. I assume this means they transferred the file to Vancouver for the eligibility check? Hope to get news in the next month or so!

Thank you, i am worried because i lost my job and i haven’t got one. Will it affect our application?
I dont think it will affect your application. Your sponsor signed an undertaking that he/she will provide your needs. But i would suggest that you update your application. It is a must that you update your application every time there is a change in your current situation (like change address, change of work, new phone number, new email address etc.)

Primary office says CPC-Mississauga, secondary office says "Vancouver Immigration" (mine doesn't say irregular migration BC, I think it's just part of the work-sharing agreement thing - previous poster's situation might be different)

TFR means transfer so I would guess TFR Eligibilty means they transfer your file to an other office to review your eligibility.
