Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

Hi everyone, I have some questions about my application.

I applied my application by mail on April 2017. I have no status now since my visitor visa have expired for few days, so I applied the status restoration at the same time.

CIC received my application on 13 April and I got an email with an application number and UCI number on 8 May 2017, that is not an AOR I think because they just ask me to link my application online. I failed to link my application online until now...

On 11 May 2017, I got an email about a missing form IMM5406. The email asked me to send the form to their office and I did it immediately. Few days later I got an email again they said my form has problem and asked me to upload the form to them again. Finally, they got my form on 24 May 2017.

12 Jun 2017, I called them to confirm my missing form and they said they received and the processing time is at least 3 weeks. But I didn’t get any information after that. What should I do? I don’t know my processing time frame is normal or not, so should I call them for further information or I should wait?

By the way, my status restoration apply has no news too…

Its David Cohen's law firm. I called cic again and they said they have requested the documents due to technical error I didn't receive it. I emailed my case manager she hasn't replied yet. I don't have access it link the webform. I'm so frustrated.

This happens all the time to lots of people in all kind of applications. Seems like the only workaround is to monitor mycic closely.

How did you submit your PCC, through mail or webform or by uploading to your MyCIC account? I uploaded to MyCIC directly the day they sent the request on MyCIC, and the additional documents part changed to "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded" the next day. I'm guessing no more changes will happen. I've seen BGC has changed to In process from N/A for some people but so far all those people I know have been those who submitted by mail or webform, no one who uploaded.

I wish I had the opportunity to submit through CIC, but I haven't received the email and therefore there is no button to upload the files. So I had to use the infamous webform.
I got the additional documents part changed to "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded" today.

Don't worry, everything seems to be ok with your application. What you received on May 8th - was your AOR. Nobody will tell you exactly what the processing time is.

About the Status Restoration - I think CIC is facing a large number of applicants, that's why there are a lot of delays. I applied for TRV in the beginning of June and I was sure I would get my passport with visa in it within 2 weeks. However, this time it took them a month and a half to send me my passport back. We have no choice, but to wait. Crazy...

Firstly , good thing you have been able to link your account online.
Usually, when you send a form to them online it takes lot of time. So I will say 2-3 weeks should be fine. You should just keep checking your cic account for update in regards to the form you sent to them online.
Currently, you are on implied status since they have not gotten back to you in regards to the renewal of your status

Hi all if you remember me I was the one that the application for my husband got returned because I forgot to include his birth certificate, anyhow I resent our application JUNE27 and received at ircc by JUNE29 confirmed it via canada post.. still waiting for AOR! hopefully it wont get returned again..

My husband familys are all back in Africa where can we include them in our application

I need a help to filling out IMM0008 principal applicant form. Question below for

how many family member, including you, are in this application(see instructions guide) ?

my husband and I do not have kids. Can he include his family members like parent and siblings here because the field must not be emply and cant take zero

That's what I concerned. It's almost 6 weeks after they received my form. Missing document and implied status are my fault, they should take more time. Anyway, I will keep my eyes on my cic account, I hope I will hear something from them very soon. Thanks Brittanyyyc!

Hello everyone!!

I am a Canadian citizen and my Hubby is American. We are just finishing up filling out the forms etc and are hoping to send the application in within the next few months.

Short background: Hubby has been here for almost 8 years (out of status...I know, I know), we have been married for 6. We are including a restoration of status form (TRP) and OWP app with our application as this is how it was done by someone else prior as per instruction from Immigration. We are not under a removal order and I will not bore you with the details of the variety of reasons why we have not applied up until now (Let's just say Murphy's law has fun with my life).

We have sent off for Hubby's FBI clearance already. He has an old DUI that should be on there so we want to see.

Looking forward to watching everyone's journey and will post updates as they happen to us! Happy 2017 everyone!

I have same as your case.
I applied on 23rd of May and got return 12nd of July.

They said I have miss imformation on imm5406.
I already fix my imm5406 file and wanna ask is it correct.

first what I sent imm 5406 , I just wrote my name and my husband name(sponsor) only. because I think only me apply immigration in my family than I got return .

so I tried to write my mother and father and brother name on it even they dont apply immigrate.

is it right What I write ? I would should written all my family mamber ?

So, my application finally got returned after a submission in May, because I need to submit some kind of proof of financial support.
I read for spouse sponsorship, you don't need to show you earn enough for your spouse.
My husband is a returning Canadian. He's only going to look for a job soon. We have quite some savings in the bank account.
Do you all submit some kind of proof together with the application?
I'm from a visa-exempted city, but my stay period is gonna be up soon. I don't know if I can apply for a temporary resident status yet... ( We made a trip to US last week but they DIDN'T put a stamp on my passport when I came back.)
