Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Would like to ask for your piece of advice.
Im on a tourist visa which will expire next montj feb 17. Can i still submit
My application for in land spousal sponsorship with open work permit application or i have to renew first my visitor visa?
Would appreciate any help

As long as you get the application to their mail room the day before your visit expires, no issue. Make sure to send via courier, so someone there has to sign for it (and you have a receipt).

They will. But once they receive it, and you sent an OWP application, you have implied visitor status, until they send you the OWP.

Many have landed. It gets chatty every once in a while. But there aren't that many left (that speak up).

And to add to Profiler's advice, remember to use the updated version of application forms including checklist and correct fees to avoid return or else you may lose status and you will have to restore your visitor status first.

Just wondering if theres a form for the open work permit application.. under the checklist form it says there that i will just indicate a check mark if i will include such..

The family is good. . . everybody healthy. Getting ready for back to work/school. The greatest challenge is to get my step son back to Ottawa for Sunday
I don't want to drive. . . . my wife . . . she wants to
So that's the greatest impass at the moment.
For me. . . resume the job hunt and loose some of the weight gained over these crazy holidays

Funny you say that. . . I has been known to be quiet at times but now its twilight
Most person landed and are busy with other aspects of life . There were stretches where it was buzzing.
At my landing I made mention of this forum. . . the interviewing officer said to me " we glance at it a few times. . . there is quite a bit of information there"
Maybe the 2017 group might be buzzing now. .

l'Ottawa isn't THAT far. From you, about 5-5.5hrs. It's GTA that's a killer on weekdays. And on a Sunday, it's not a bad drive at all. Glad to hear all is well down the road. I hope Santa was good to you -- seems to have forgotten me (though he peppered my son with kit).
