I would say renew your passport first. Unless you have a provincial government that is recognizing the change, then you can change it now with the info from their office.Hello! I have changed my maiden name to my husband's for driver's licence, but my PR card that will arrive in the mail would still be my maiden name as I never updated cic the change of last name. Should i send them msg thru webform about it or do I need to renew my passport first with my new last name for supporting document? If I have to renew my passport (which i have to do eventually cos it will expire in April), i will get it after a month, by then i guess my PR card has arrived, so it's gonna be too late. I just want to travel and not having issues at the border for confusing them with 2 different last names when i get back. Thanks
Thanks for reply. So if i renew my passport, i'd have to wait for a month to get it. I think i'd receive my PR card by the end of this month. So should I ask them again to send me new PR card with my updated last name and pay again?I would say renew your passport first. If the card has already been ordered, it's likely too late now. Did you look up the info on the procedure? Thanks for reply. So if i renew my passport, i'd have to wait for a month to get it. No, i dont know where to find the info on the procedure. Yeah i guess it is really too late now, i was so caught up with the holidays. Anyway, how was your Christmas and New Year?If the card has already been ordered, it's likely too late now. Did you look up the info on the procedure?
Well thank you. And yours? No, i dont know where to find the info on the procedure. Yeah i guess it is really too late now, i was so caught up with the holidays. Anyway, how was your Christmas and New Year?
Thank you so much Profiler. My holidays were quiet as i only have my husband to celebrate with. Compared to the holidays i had back home, very festive. Not complaining lolWell thank you. And yours?

Sounds like a glitch. I would call in the morning.Happy new year everybody, I wish good fortune to all.
I have a question
Received a medical request on Dec 18th, exams done on Dec.19th then results received and passed by CIC on Dec 27th. in my CIC in the "Details" column was saying "your action is required" at the time I received the medical request, then shifted to Updated on Dec. 27th. This morning it shifted back to "your action is required" but there is no new request or messages.
Checked Ecas: no change to sponsor side. they added 2 lines to Applicant side (medical request then medical exam received)
Should I contact the call center to find out what action is required?
Many thanks,
