Did you receive notice about decision made before the landing letter? Or you only found out from Ecas?

SINs are issued at Service Canada, not CIC. Some CIC offices do have a Service Canada on site. Some have them close by. Some don't.

I don't know where you're landing, so I can't comment. But Google maps can, and the landing officer can direct you.

No advice needed. Just relax. It's not an interview... it's like getting a driver's license.
Well said @ prof
How's the weather your side?
We getting covered here in London.
See you still working hard. . . .
When u go off on holidays???

Hello everybody! I got AIP about a week ago and today I got an email with this:
“We have selected you to be part of a new initiative that allows you to confirm your permanent residency via telephone. This new method allows you to obtain your permanent resident status without the need to physically go to a local IRCC office for an appointment.”

It also says that if the date and time doesn’t fit my schedule I can just “disregard this email” which is a little odd... they don’t ask to re-schedule.

Also in my account there is absolutely no update, this email is not in messages received and everything is still “in process”

Anybody knows what this mean?

Congrats. That's your DM. You will become a PR on that phone call. It's apparently a new program they are trying out to speed up landings. the interview that would normally happen at the office, is now being done over the phone.

Systems do take time to update and sync. But that means they have processed your file.
