If medicals Expire on December 13th, since the scheduling time frame is 9-13 weeks, does that mean 100% medicals will need to be redone? or they only need it to be valid up until your DM? and not the landing interview.

They need to be valid when they seek to grant PR. Let them tell you that you have to have them redone; because they may just extend them a few weeks.

@sweet_mahsa or they could rush your landing appointment to avoid your meds to expire. They sometimes do it to avoid passport expiring before landing.

It wouldn't even matter for us when it comes to the passport, since it has already expired.

That creates an interesting scenario. However, let them tell you what they need from you. Try not to fret..

I cant remember who it was that told me, but because CBSA had the passport while it was still valid, they accept it. and return it back to us once we go for the landing interview (or if he is deported).
At least all this is happening before the 12 month deadline, that is causing all these delays. Imagine if we were still on that 26 month processing time, it would have taken 5 years lol!

If he is bring processed under public policy, they will overlook the expired travel document.

what does that mean?

Public Policy allows the case to still be considered even when some conditions exist: expired status, expired travel document, etc.

How would I know if he is?

Well, considering he had a refugee claim in, I will *assume* he doesn't have a work permit. If he doesn't, and he doesn't have a valid visitor permit, there would be a 1000% chance.

I wouldn't worry. If they ask for a passport, just work with them to resolve. No problems.
