They need to be valid when they seek to grant PR. Let them tell you that you have to have them redone; because they may just extend them a few weeks. If medicals Expire on December 13th, since the scheduling time frame is 9-13 weeks, does that mean 100% medicals will need to be redone? or they only need it to be valid up until your DM? and not the landing interview.
@sweet_mahsa or they could rush your landing appointment to avoid your meds to expire. They sometimes do it to avoid passport expiring before landing. They need to be valid when they seek to grant PR. Let them tell you that you have to have them redone; because they may just extend them a few weeks.
It wouldn't even matter for us when it comes to the passport, since it has already expired.@sweet_mahsa or they could rush your landing appointment to avoid your meds to expire. They sometimes do it to avoid passport expiring before landing.
That creates an interesting scenario. However, let them tell you what they need from you. Try not to fret..It wouldn't even matter for us when it comes to the passport, since it has already expired.
I cant remember who it was that told me, but because CBSA had the passport while it was still valid, they accept it. and return it back to us once we go for the landing interview (or if he is deported). That creates an interesting scenario. If he is bring processed under public policy, they will overlook the expired travel document.I cant remember who it was that told me, but because CBSA had the passport while it was still valid, they accept it. and return it back to us once we go for the landing interview (or if he is deported).
At least all this is happening before the 12 month deadline, that is causing all these delays. Imagine if we were still on that 26 month processing time, it would have taken 5 years lol!
what does that mean?If he is bring processed under public policy, they will overlook the expired travel document.
Public Policy allows the case to still be considered even when some conditions exist: expired status, expired travel document, etc.what does that mean?
How would I know if he is?Public Policy allows the case to still be considered even when some conditions exist: expired status, expired travel document, etc.
Well, considering he had a refugee claim in, I will *assume* he doesn't have a work permit. If he doesn't, and he doesn't have a valid visitor permit, there would be a 1000% chance. How would I know if he is?
