For which province? If you live in Ontario, acceptable form of I.D is posted On the service Ontario website. The rule also provides that one has to be resident in Ontario for at least 3 months. Refer to the website.
Actually she is in Africa specifically Ghana. Yea I checked a clinic in Ottawa and they do accept the Birthset. But she's in Ghana

Hello everybody! I'm an august 2016 applicant. I got AOR in sept 2016, I was requested medical in June 2017, medical was approved in July 2017 and the sponsor has been approved in either June or July as well. But since then we haven't heard anything. Is this normal? In ECAS says everything is being processed, im losing my mind here.

Hey, there are a number of applicants in similar situation like this. That being said I am one of those applicants. Its been very frustrating to wait. Lately lot of applicants who applied in Sep, Oct have got their decision made on both sides. My MP has already inquired twice with IRCC. Still there is no news as they are processing for security checks. I have been informed to hold on tight till mid Dec.

We Applied after Dec. 7 2016, just after the announcement of the change of Processing time from 26 mths. to 12 mths. I have a FEELING that maybe they are prioritizing applications after that date because they have to fulfill the 12 mth. promise.If you applied before Dec.7 it still is within the 26 mth time frame. I know It seems rather unfair , especially when you see DM, but hopefully all works out well (and soon) for everyone before and after.

Just wanted to inform you guys that i saw ecas today and say decision made on both the sides... I am so happy thank you all for the lovely advises and suggestions.. thank you.. any idea when will i get an email about confirmation....

Congratulations! When did you apply? We got Dm on both sides a week ago, but only Sponsor got an email letter of Confirmation so far...
I applied on aug 22 2016..... i have got sa nad aip... what donu mean by only spons has got an email confirmation... havent u fot aip?

We applied December 29th 2016. Dm both sides in Ecas last week, Eligibility passed in Mycic. Only sponsor received the letter of eligibility passed. Called Ircc and they said that eligibility was passed. I've learnt to expect anything by now. Just happy that we've come thus far.

I just got an email from CIC stated that "It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time".
Can anyone help explain what stage of my application now and what should I do next ? Will the next mail I reveive be decision made ? I already sent medical report with my initial application. Thanks so much for your help.
