I got it through my representative, and she got it as an email with PDF. Thanks my ECAS stills shows application received

ECAS is often updated the next morning. Check again tomorrow morning, I'm quite sure you will see decision made.

@sylvain1 is wise. At very least it should say, "in process".

When you land, the next morning it will say, "complete". And inside it will say you landed at IRCC Vancity.

when did he get medical request?

We got request for Medical on October 5th, 2017

I too applied on 15 November 2016 with medical upfront... now my status says medical passed... does this mean i no longer need to do medical again... i thought it was expired long back...

As long as your medical status shows "Passed", I don't think you'd need to do it again UNLESS they request for a new one if they think it's no longer valid.

I just called the 1888 # today and i got the following messages:

1 - your eligibility process haven't started yet
2 - We received your documents ( police certificate requested April /2017)
3 - Your medicals results were successful ( Done it on Oct 10th, Just updated that message today)
4 - You dont need an interview
5 - We are checking your background.

Regarding number 1 and 5, is it normal??

I have been lurking around this forum for more than a year and I decided it's time for me to share my experience and I hope it helps someone:

Receipt of Application: Mar 16
Request for Additional Doc (CSQ): Aug16
Csq (approved)(DM sponsor side): Nov-16
Medical required: April -17
Fingerpints and additional proof of rel.: May- 17
Dm on my side : 4-Oct-17
Inland APR Eligibility Decision: 6-Oct-17
Landing interview :19th- Oct-17 at Montreal.

Note: I already had work permit prior PR application

Hope this help someone who is waiting and as everybody before said patience is key.

Yes it could be normal, mycic is not always updated and the information you get when you call is what appears on mycic.

Regarding eligibility not started. I have gcms notes from March 8th stating it wasn't started, but we got SA, AIP and DM about 2 weeks later.
Then the status remained in progress until she landed (even with the DM letters already in hands). So don't worry, it may come at anytime now.
