In the case I know the person went directly to the office. The document was taken for further review by their support office, and after a few days he got an answer that it was accepted... So probably depends on the agent you talk to and how much they want to push for you. But anyway if your appointment letter was issued in August and you get your COPR in August too, it doesn't matter much because in both cases you would be eligible in November. Just make sure you open your file before September 14 as they can't go back more than 15 days after the opening of the file to start counting your 3 months...
Yeah looks like the agent doesn't want to consider it. Thanks for the info again regarding cut off - 14th of the month though we really plan to go ramq office right after the landing interview appointment.

Hey profiler!

I just talked to the agent and was able to find out they started my security check in July 4th 2017..

I saw DM on my sponsor side at sometime 20ish of June 2017.

They started my security check so slow!!

Does it usually take 3-6 months...???

You only lived in Canada/South Korea?

Yeap...

Came to Canada in 2006 when I was 15 by myself as a student lol...well, I visited thailand and china for less than 2 weeks...

So, they will have no trouble in Canada/SK/China to establish who you are -- this would be reasonably fast. The thing that can introduce delay is Thailand, and their relationship with Canadian intelligence. Also all the political "Trumpugees", and the present refugee security backlog.

I would guess it would be done in about a month.

hahaha wow you and your knowledge...

I visited Thailand back in like 2004 for about a week with my family and CSIS checks that little thing ???

lol ....Not sure if that is being detailed or stupidly obsessed with every foot step that I made in this planet..

That's very interesting. Do they contact countries that I visited before as a tourist? I don't remember declaring anywhere the list of countries I visited before.

It's within their pervue. If they think it's significant, they will. They need to be thorough to make sure that they don't have someone that another country might want -- and someone that could be a risk to Canadian society. This is the ultimate question they are answering. However thorough they need to be is up to them. But yes, they will contact every place you have visited to see if they "know" you.

OWP received November 2016
CSQ received January 2017

Once again I thank everybody. I wish good luck and patience who are still waiting.
