Hello good/patient people.
Once again patience has paid off. I have just received my landing appointment at Montreal office
Thanks everyone for valuable information. This forum made it really easy for me to be patient. Never called CIC, never asked for GCMS notes, never contacted MP.
So..here is my story:
Application received August 2016
OWP received November 2016
CSQ received January 2017
Medical passed June 2017
Decision Made (both sides) 13 July 2017
SA received 17 July 2017
Landing Appointment email received 18 August 2017
LANDING: 24 AUGUST 2017

Once again I thank everybody. I wish good luck and patience who are still waiting.

still waiting as well, although I had to submit additional document which I did in June.
I really really pray we hear good news very very soon.

I was requested to submit photocopy of my renewed passport. I submitted via Web form as soon as I got the request, but it was not received until almost 40days later.

Wish all the 2016ers get good luck soonnnn!!!

i submitted imm5604 amd it was attached to my file a month after.

my additional document( imm5604) took 30days to attach to my file.
I also pray we get good new fast. its frustrating to wait for so long.
Although I know each case is different, however, when you see a lot of people who applied after you landing, it brings out more frustration.

We are June 2016 as well.

We got SA and AIP July 4th 2017.

Still waiting security & background check to be finalized !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is each file different? I didn't received any SA,AIP and every time I check it says that they are doing background check.

And it seems many June and September 2016 applicants are getting their DM ....???

Aug 23,2016 applicant. I received work permit after 10 month. No SA,AIP YET

Salaam! My wife is from Iran. I'm not sure about "normal" processing time for background checks, but it took longer for us than most people that applied in 2015. We applied August 12th, 2015 and got SA/AIP/DM in March 2017, so 19 months to get DM and about 21.5 months from app received to landing.

Do the y first send SA,AIP or they do background and security check? Is every file different?

Hello, we have exactly the same ECAS status. I'm August 2016 too. But July 31st they asked me for police certificate from Singapore, until now I haven't received it. I feel like I would've been done by now if I did the police certificate right away.

We also were requested for renewed passport which was submitted on 4th July 2017 received by CIC on 28th July.

So I've received another email from IRCC requesting me to send my schedule A and or Additional family again for incomplete for the 3rd time.. I don't know what I'm missing. This is upsetting now.

This time they sent an email instead of actually asking through gckey and my gckey doesn't show messages there or that they're requesting any documents.

Yes it does, depending on your location within a few days to a couple of weeks.
