How long they will take at Paris visa office and what kind of documents they need

Whatever you didn't send them, that they asked for, and 12 months is the processing target from the time you submitted. So, subtract the day you submitted from the day you received the SA letter.

Hoping for a sugary Tuesday for everyone left! :)

I hope she will have a nice and safe trip!

I'll let her know your sentiment... I am sure she will thank you :).

She is flying with Lufthansa (via Munich on the way there, and Frankfurt on the way back), so I would expect all should be ok WRT the flights. The scarier part for me is the over-baggage and the fact that Pearson baggage handlers are still on strike... And she has two bags to check and a (potentially) oversized carry-on.... ask me what's in them *hrmph*

Through work we have travel insurance (not really necessary as she is a Russian citizen still, but she lost her state issued health ID). But yes, I hope it will all be ok WRT the trip itself.

and is Mrs profiler worried about what Mr Profiler will eat while she is abroad? :D (just kidding)

Yes I heard about this strike in Pearson... I hope she won't have any trouble with baggage. I've never been in Munich, but I was in Frankfurt airport twice. It's relatively big and I had so long layovers there that it's not associated with nice time in my memory!

"What will you do when I am not here?" -- eat pizza and pasta! :) Not like *I* am the BBQ king or anything....

We always try to target her layovers for ~1.5 hours. There was one time, in Frankfurt that she was late landing and was going to miss the connection to Pearson -- the Lufthansa crew grabbed the handful of people who needed to connect, and they tossed them on a special bus, and shuttled them right to the plane.

WRT what's in the bags -- apparently the cost and quality of things is better here... and to ship stuff via DHL is $$$$. More so than just flying with it as checked luggage. So, it's a ton of things for her family/friends, and some clothing. The bags are progressively smaller, so she can do Russian Nesting Dolls (Matryoshka) with it for the way back...
