I had no idea who he was.. my wife pointed it out.

I could actually care less, to be honest. I was more concerned with Arya liquidating the Knights, not the silly singer

Finally got through to CIC!!!!
Was on hold for 35 minutes, but well worth every second waiting.
At first I thought the lady was clueless cuz she didnt understand that I have seen DM in ECAS. I let her go on and tell me about there is Step one, Step 2, blah, blah blah. Then I asked her if she could pull up my file and take a look. She did and took a look. Ohhhh she says, looks like they didnt do steps on your file, they did it all at once. I said yes, thats what I was trying to explain to you. So she looks more and tells me I got this notification on this day, that notification on that day (which were always 1 or 2 days later than what my communication stated). The she says, well you are all approved what is your question. (meaning like why am I calling). I explained I didnt get my DM letter or my landing letter yet. She goes on to tell me that generally the landing letter goes out 2-6 weeks after the AIP letter. She has the AIP dated as June 19th, I have it as June 16th...so 2-6 weeks would make it July 28th-July 31st that I should receive something. So I have to be more patient, Im ok with that now since she also told me the security check is done and that is usually what holds things up.
A few things noted...hubby's email was put in wrong (although I was assured they never make mistakes) I have a copy of the application so I know what was typed in on our part. That is why he hasnt gotten any emails, only the SA letter via the post office.
She also told me that being St Johns is a smaller landing place that they may be waiting till they have a few more landing to set up for the day instead of one a day etc....she was appalled that I would have to drive across the Island for 8 hours to go to the appointment, she said they would get me some place closer. Told her that is the closest and I didnt care how long the drive was, lol.
She also thanked me for being pleasant on the phone, she went on to say she had been yelled at several times already this morning. Wouldnt want her job.
Also, after the phone call I got an email from her basically pointing out the steps involved in processing, wasnt relevant to our convo, figured it was a form letter thank you.
I feel a sense of relief talking to her knowing all is well and nothing is holding anything up. Back to being patient again, but at least I know landing is coming.

That was how I felt when I was talking to my MP's Constituent Assistant.

Ah so IRCC realized the e-mail was wrong so that is why they sent snail mail.

BTW, all landing offices have multiple appointments on the same day. Imagine the lady who was at the counter was telling her collegue that they had 20-something more scheduled for that day. So I can imagine how many they do a day.

Wow..8 hours almost as long as Saint Lucia to London, England.
